Giday mate. I live at Emerald been digging at Glen Alva for a few years now I haven't seen this spot before, But then again I dig right down the very end of field. 200 meters from end cattle grid & tunnel vision to that area each week I go out there. This spot/area when you come over the first cattle grid welcome to Glen Elva field how far along is it, righthand side or left hand side of the road love to go down & check it out, I know there is lots of tracks going everywhere & campers are starting to go home now with warmer weather what is good for me I can dig/camp in peace. Regards Anthony

First track on left after grid coming from emerald then stay to right you will see two tracks on left take the third ( there all with in 100m of each other follow to end area is in creek/ gully below area once worked by tourist operation.

Glittering star you can dig at top of hill can't miss where , gully slash creek below contrary to to what people say well worth a look but unlike other places topaz here tends to sit in top layers wash best way is find a likely spot remove large rocks and brush ground slowly with hand or brush and look as you brush most of our best topaz comes within 75mm of surface .

Hi, thanks for the great video. I have a new nox 800 and am wondering if it’ll work ok using your settings around the Inglewood (Vic) area? I think it’s known to be highly mineralised ground there, so I’m hoping the nox 800 will be ok for a few days? Would you suggest using gold mode 2 (rather than gold mode 1) and in all metal mode around Inglewood? Cheers,

Hey mate, thanks for your videos, I'm planning a possible trip to Tibooburra this winter, one of my sniping partners may come along but he has a Nokta Gold kruzer that as you know runs at a high frequency, he is worried about jot rocks and wants to go to Victoria, to detect in pipeclay areas. What's your opinion on hot rocks and using a VLF at Tibooburra. If I come up I would love to catch up. Thanks, John.
@goldgemstreasureandfish3483 Жыл бұрын
Can't see that detecting with the kruzer would be any harder in Tibooburra or easier in Victoria ....just like in most gold fields there are places in Tibooburra where a VHF machine can be quite successful... If you have watched some of the Tibooburra stuff. I was able to show a bloke with a gold monster to go over the mullock heaps of detected with the 6000 over the next few days he pulled quite a few pieces out of places id already detected with the 6000 ( I don't miss much)

I recognize the spot in Glen Alva you are working as I dug there 4 years ago and was out there middle of 2022.There was a huge boulder that has been washed away and maybe about 4 or 5 feet of bank, so you should be digging virgin ground there.

Have a question . I am a keen beach detectorist since the 90s used Eric Fosters metal detectors, awsone PI metal detectors right up until the mid 2005 . I am back into detecting beaches using the minlabe VLF multi frequency rage . But always feel that PI detecting is way deeper and a lot more can be found with them . I have been thinking minlabe about PI rage . I am very impressed with the GPX 6000 . Would you recommend this on beach detecting, I am used to digging every signal out in the wet sand and this wouldn’t bother me . But what would the depth on say a good gold ring , averaging 5 grams be ?. Thanks for posting the video
@goldgemstreasureandfish34832 жыл бұрын
Hi Fabian have never tried on beach so really could not say...I use the equinox for that ....my uninformed opinion would be that the machine would probably be unusable, it would have to be with the 14 DD coil. The 6000 is great in goldfields but I think it's inherent incredible sensitivity would make it very very hard if not impossible to use the 14 DD would be your only option even on areas of goldfield the salt content can make the 11 inch nigh impossible to use.. as I said have not tried so don't really know just my thoughts. Think there are better detectors for the beach

I took to the beach with mine after a good surge had washed away a lot of the lighter sand, and it was unusable with the 11" or the 14", even running in difficult and sensitivity all the way down. This is the Central California coastline though. In the past I was able to use the 4500 with Nuggetfinder coils just fine, but that wasn't with the concentrated black sands like this was, either.

Hi, thanks for the test, are you saying the 14 dd outperformed the 11 mono, I used the dd for a couple of hours and found a 0.2 about 5 inches deep, and I was impressed.
@goldgemstreasureandfish34832 жыл бұрын
No just performs on super small nuggets , virtually as good as the 11inch but starts to fall behind on .5g plus which is surprising as I would think should logically be the other way around
@royjohnson465 Жыл бұрын
@@goldgemstreasureandfish3483 ~ Yes, for the SD, GP, and older GPX machines hunting on shallow exposed bedrock, the 10x5 DD Coiltek Joey “was better than” the 10x5 MONO Coiltek Joey because (1)the DD is hotter (more intense) on very tiny gold than the MONO up close to the coil and also (2)the DD handles high mineralized bedrock better (less false ground noise) than the MONO. ~But at more depth of soil then the MONO is better and deeper seeking than the DD.
