I have heard there are serious electrical issues with the coaching stock but I haven’t looked into the specifics. To me Class 68 are music but I am not everyone.

Nice footage! Great to see Europhoenix taking them on for continued service. As others have commented, also good to see so many young spotters taking phots and video of these classic machines. They have to be the very best of all the 1960’s BR Modernisation Plan designs and English Electric created a classic engine to fit them - the magnificent 12CSVT, which just sounds amazing.

Worked on 37901 ( Slug 1 ) many times at Canton . We removed the stainless steel silencers because they were cracking up

Great video. On a semi-serious note the visibility is clearly for want of a better expression 'crap' with the Ploughs in front. Chuffin chilly with your heed oot the window from Crewe to Carlisle. Haven't spent many years with mae heed oot of windows behind 37s/40s back in the day i could easily manage Crewe to Chester but then i would definitely of had enough! ESPECIALLY in January !!!🤣🤣🤣

I rate this video! Drivers last hurrah with locos they love I imagine! This video making memories for them they’ll cherish for ever. I know what it means to crews the last time they have their favourite engines being close with a few. Superb video. Awesome!
