Is this lift always available? I don't do chair lifts

I was there on a very busy day and it wasn't in use. I would assume it exists mainly as a backup should the chair be out of service or possibly if they have a race event.

This used to be called a "Poma" lift back in the 60's. The hill I learned on had one of these, and a rope tow. These are way better than rope tows, which are truly a nightmare. When I rode my first chairlift, all I could think of was - 'where have you been all my life!' ;-)

No you're getting it mixed up with the indoor theme park. And I don't think it will take that long to open. In fact, I am starting to think it will be ready with the rest of the mall in March.
