Is this an honest video? I can't believe how good it sounds. And it was all done in a computer. The sound engineers must be geniuses!
@UDiAudio15 сағат бұрын
yes, this is a virtual instrument using physical modeling of a piano. The pianist is a talented friend of mine. The sound was not altered in anyway this is how it sounds as is with this software. You can find more information in my shop udiaudio.com

Hello from a harpist. Trying to like the sound, but why did you choose to demo everything with modulation/tremolo active? This is not how harps would naturally sound, and if anything, I'd buy your library for that rather than the effects. 🤷♂

Here it is done properly. Memorymoon ME80 soft synth, Jump patch with added chorus, compression and reverb. Near spot on to the original version, Arturia is very, very poor... kzbin.info/www/bejne/r6qnfJKsndlorcksi=H7O0sgCGfbdeYu7y

Yes, overall I think it’s a generally very useful plug-in for any singing track. 👍👍
@danepaulstewart84644 күн бұрын
This is NOT a very good review because it does not explore much of the range of sounds that the Prophet 5 could produce. But it does show how generally crappy a synth it was. I bought one of the last new ones in Chicago back in the 80s, and I used it on a bunch of Chicago dance records, but I didn’t keep it much more than a year before selling it. Despite its reputation, it just could not produce very many interesting sounds in my opinion. Certainly not compared to other synthesizers of the time Like The Roland Jupiters or some of the Oberheims. Still, I think that the Arturia version is once again an excellent reproduction of the original hardware. But sometimes that’s not such a good thing. when the manufacturers want to start with a good reproduction of the original hardware and then add to it I always think that’s a good thing. The Prophet 5 made a handful of gorgeous sounds and a ton of crappy ones in my opinion, but that 5-voice limit really sucked and it popped up way more often than you might suspect. Honestly, having spent a ton of money on them in the 80’s, I feel there were only a handful of synths that actually sounded good, and they have endured. The super affordable soft synths of today are WAY BETTER!! It’s stunning how much better they all are. The drum machines too. But keep it up mate, I still think your videos have great value!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very nice demo of the raw sounds as one would hear them immediately upon loading. Most reviewers add reverb, etc. and play things that show them in their best light. Not necessarily exactly how they sound right out of the box. 🙂👍

Lol, this video is for nerds who rely on patterns and have little imagination or ability to play an instrument.

Thanks for your video, i'm interesting on this soft but I have a question before own it. I have a huge kit (which works well on SD3 with all pads), but i'm not sure the SSD5 soft could take all of it (8 toms, 2 snares, 15 cymbals...). Could I add more instruments after the basic 20 are fully used ?

I made my own drum trigger pads that transmit velocity & strike position MODO DRUM's is absolutely insane both above & beyond anything else when the force strike position is enabled. A video exploring the force strike position on the toms and snare would likely melt everyone's minds!

nice video:) I cannot see how the editor works, is it like editing fx a piano plugin or does it have it's own edit window. I have had Em-voice for many years and it is annoying that it is in a seperat window. I've seen other videos on this synth where you need to sync them tempos and I find that strange. Can you explain please. I have Cubase 14

So am I supposed to keep it tuned to C? So why is it able to be pitched to something other than C? Wouldn't all the keys be off. Can you give me a real world use of tuning it to anything other than C please. Confused here!
@UDiAudio14 күн бұрын
Some sound design applications when you manually change the tuning. For most people I guess keep it at C.. the old synths just had more freedom and open design. We should learn to free ourselves from conventional music thought routines.

Thank you for the video! I have a question - if you want to record one of the preset patterns, do you have to drag and drop the pattern, or can you just play the key for that pattern, for example C4? Also, if you are indeed able to record a pattern just by holding one note, will the midi notes for that pattern show on your daw, or just the note that you played? Thank you again! Very good video, better than the UJAM walk through :)
@UDiAudio16 күн бұрын
It's not going to record the pattern. Either drag the pattern to your track or just have MIDI part playing C4 etc. You can see how to drag and drop in the video.. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJ-8eKuNqM9oq8ksi=rmFC8v9SvYRqSr3W&t=635
