Why is there such a large shade or screen or whatever over the dashboard, partly blocking the driver’s view of any pedestrians walking potentially dangerously close in front of the tram?

Why is it that even all the modern tram vehicles in The Hague (in this video at least) seem to be entirely unidirectional ? Are they trying to save the money otherwise used for maintaining the 2nd cab ?

I think this is the first time I've ever seen a rail vehicle with pedals for accelerating and breaking. Really interesting that this exists.

Wat een aso is die automobilist. Ik hoop dat er aangifte is gedaan tegen die persoon. En dat dit kenteken is geregistreerd bij de politie. Ik zou deze video (die nog niet is gewijzigd) gebruiken als bewijs voor de politie. Hopelijk zal deze aso een hoge boete krijgen voor zijn gevaarlijke actie.

I see you also have distracted drives who ignore red lights in the Netherlands as well. Aside from your video, do the trams have a camera system to protect the tram driver in instances where they might have actually hit the car?

i smile every time i see your journeys via Plesmanlaan, i thought i had missed the stop i wanted which was one further on. The shops are nice there and the people were friendly to an English tourist who speaks a little Dutch. :) The main thing you avoided a crash, i bet you needed a coffee when you got back to the rest stop.

Stupid car drivers. There was another one further into the video who drove through a red light on a crossing, but he was going straight on so didn't affect you. But car drivers can be so inconsiderate.

7:55 interessant om te horen dat als je de fluit knop van de Avenio ingedrukt houdt, dat de fluit tussendoor stopt, alsof hij ademhaalt. In tegenstelling tot de fluit van de GTL die aan stuk door fluit zolang je de knop ingedrukt houdt. Werkt de fluit van de Avenio op lucht of elektronisch net als de bel?
