Great tool, is there an alternative to the herbicide spraying.

I love the tree i planted at Deans Marsh when I was a boy- its a huge blue gum, lovely to remember it as a 6 inch sapling, now a very large tree, thick trunk and very tall. J

Hi mate, are you still about? I am looking to plant out our 7 acres near the Otways, trees & shrubs, native species for bringing it back to health & habitat. Would appreciate running some ideas past you. I found your channel when looking up grasses- I had beautiful tasman flax lilly grasses in Sydney, and valued that the birds sat in them & ate the berries. Regards Jake & Rebecca

Just a note to everyone. Please do not eat the berries of Dianella tasmanica (Tasmanian Flax Lily) as they are poisonous.

Thank you for this information, one plant seemed to come out of nowhere, can't remember planting it, was surprised to see the tiny flower. I was reading it suits part shade best, ours has shade to midday and then sun to late evening. Could a bird dropped seeds- if it takes 10 years to maturity, it must have been dropped here about 10 years ago when we first moved here and because I have a variety of mixed plants the green leaves when they appeared was thought something we intentionally planted :-) We live in Warragul Victoria.

This technique damages vascular tissue. Very slow also. I prick out 800 an hour with a chopstick .

Do you have any germination tips? I purchased seed and was only able to get a small number. Thanks in advance.

Dont drag your fingers down the roots, you will damage them.
