Pretty solid, deep draft class in 1996. I think my Mavs wound up drafting Samaki Walker, who did not work out as a pro. Yet another wasted pick. Out of all the Top 10 picks, I don’t think there’s any doubt he was the biggest disappointment.

2:44 I don't think I've ever heard MJ's answer to Mahmoud Abdul Rauf. "All the Smoke" asked him about it, so I looked it up. Dope. He's so anti-politics that I didn't really expect him to take on anything dealing with religion either. Interesting.

At the end of the day, he (Mahmoud) should have been able to have his job AND his religion, it's OK for him to have a stance on issues and still play basketball. The anthem says, "land of the free, home of the brave", yet you got mad at him for being free and brave, its ridiculous.

He took the safe route not too controversial. They did it to Ali the Boxer; and they did it Rauf! Forced patriotism do not protest, etc. Mike was coward on social issues and i was disappointed by all the stars who sided with the NBA punishment and banishment. shut up and play ball "screw everyone else1 "

This certainly busts up the narrative that he was aloof or non committal on social issues he gave a reasonable measured response and didn't shy away from answering any of it and i love how he held firm even after the follow up question about it. The guy was not perfect, none of us are but the suggestion that he didn't care or have an opinion about societal issues is baseless. #MYGOAT

All these comments acting like MJ is the only articulate Black man ever. The NBA hasnt sunk... The players are all EXTREMELY articulate and smart. WAAAAY smarter than MJs day. Also...
