Sin means missing the mark. This is why there is an instruction Not to be anxious but in prayer and supplication make your request known... Jesus was not anxious at Gethsemane He was in prayer saying to the father let this cup pass over me...not my will but yours...thats the difference Phillpians 4vs7-8

Sin does not require context or interpretation, Mark 10, Jesus was asked about it and He gave a very clear answer "You know the commandments" Simple, the commandments are the law, and sin is a transgression of these laws (1 John 3-4)He could have mentioned the sins highlighted by Isaiah a prophet he acknowledges or the myriads of sins compiled in Leviticus, but He did not, He did not cherry pick. Which is exactly what you have done, taken these verses out of context... Sin is straightforward, cut and dry, black and white... For you to quote Phillipans 4 , a chapter who's main message was about Joy, celebrating God, and thanking Him for the good He has done. For you to take it out of context and use it as proof that anxiety is a sin is extremely disingenuous. Again, Sin does not require context, plain and simple... Secondly, to your point about Jesus not being anxious, now with this we can use context,the word that was translated to mean anxiety from Greek , (the original language of the new testament) was Merimnao and in the old Testament was Charadah which both loosely translate to being fearful, or having your mind split, yet you are trying to state that Jesus was not in a state of anxiety yet He told his own disciples "My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death" (Mathew 26)He was overwhelmed with the sadness of what was about to happen to him. It is Ok to be anxious but the point Paul was making in Phillipians is to have faith in God that He will fix it, anxiety is not a sin or a sign that there is something wrong with your faith. @brianmusanga8958 again the conclusion of yours is what the full message was saying Now, back to Jesus..he wasnt anxious about dying.... he wasnt worried about dying...it was for that reason he was born... his soul being crushed with grief is him saying i am about to take on this very gruesome task...and he prayed and then was strengthened.... Anxiety on the other hand has to do with the way a man is thinking that needs to be changed hence...Paul will say in Phillipians 4..whatsoever things are good, honest, worthy of praise Think on this thing and the concludes with the peace of God will keep your mind. @@emmanuela6580 thank you for your response Sin is defined as missing the mark When you stay anxious..you miss the mark Thats why the Bible says We should be anxiois for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving make your requests known to the Lord and Gods peace will guard your heart. The idea that the scripture tells us that WE SHOULD NOT BE ANXIOUS...means when we stay anxious we "miss the mark" The man that is anxious is instructed to pray and make his requests known unto the Lord. To.stay in anxiety when you know to make your requests in prayer is missing the mark...this is the sin! Hope its a little clearer

@@joshgellock well Josh, i think in the new testament Acts 11, Agbabus prophesied that there will be a Famine , Acts 13 the saints said thus says the Lord Separate unto me Paul and Barnabas for the work of Ministry, Acts 21, Agbabus Spoke by the Spirit that the owner of a Girdle would be persecuted. So in the book of Acts we see 3 example and there are more. Please check these examples
