This is the greatest plaid pattern ever, but I need a visual on the starting of row 1. is it possible to create a video showing from the foundation through row 2.
@callistafaye2 ай бұрын
You just create your chain, and start single crocheting. Here’s an excerpt from the free pattern: With colour A, Chain 95 Row 1: With colour A, work SC into the second chain from hook. SC into next 2 chains. Before finishing the 3rd SC in colour A, pull through colour B. Continue this for each colour change throughout the pattern. Work 2 SC in the next 2 chains, carrying the other yarn colour over. Carry over whichever colour you are not working with through entire pattern.Switch to A, 7 SC. Continue working each SC into the next chain. callistafaye.ca/blogs/crochet/easy-plaid-crochet-blanket-pattern-free

Wow. Alot of yarn on the hook... thinking to use lighter weight yarn cause my hands will hurt with 2- 4plys together. Why not?
@callistafaye3 ай бұрын
You just use one strand at a time, no matter the ply. Of course you can modify to use whatever ply you prefer.

So, did you make the squares and then assemble like granny squares?
@callistafaye Жыл бұрын
No, it is one continuous blanket. The colours are carried through. :) I refer to the patterns the colours make as “squares”.
@joew.8800 Жыл бұрын
@@callistafaye so then you constantly work with all three colors at once? If not, how do you transition from one color in the square to the next color, when only working with two?

Hi can you tell me how many Ball of each colour and size of balls really lovely blanket
@callistafaye Жыл бұрын
callistafaye.ca/blogs/crochet/easy-plaid-crochet-blanket-pattern-free I used Bernat Softee Chunky yarn which is super bulky (6). I used two 394m balls of “Natural” and “True Grey” and four 394m balls of “Grey Heather”. Please note that using two strands of super bulky makes a very thick blanket (perfect for cold Canadian winters), but if you are looking for something that transitions between seasons, I would recommend a lighter weight of yarn.

Hi there, I am trying to make a baby blanket. How many stitches would the foundation chain be if I was using #3 yarn?
@callistafaye Жыл бұрын
To increase the width of this blanket, chain 95 + multiples of 46. This will add two full colour sections in order to keep the repeat the same. (Width of each full section is 23; 7-2-5-2-7). Remember you start & end with a partial section.

This is a beautiful pattern! I do have a question as I am just starting this now, i can not get the chain to work with the 95, if the pattern to begin is sc 2nd chain then 12, 23,23,23,12 stitches should not the begin chain be 24? I am not sure if i am missing something and do not want to go to far and discover i messed up Thank you again for sharing this pattern with us!!
@callistafaye3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, I’m glad you like it! The important thing is that the blanket is 93 stitches wide, so as long as you end up there it will be fine. :)
