Hi Cory , do you have any video where you have configured a whole job to migrate data into salesforce one after one for all the standard objects with related records?

Hello Cory, I didn't hear where did you get the application in which you created connections and actually did all work.

Hi, Thanks a lot! I enjoyed the video. Even it was made 5 years ago, it still gets value now.

Never make another video about food ! Your food safety is deplorable ! You didn't even wash off the chicken at all !
@Tmendler6 жыл бұрын
Clarence Stewart Jr you shouldn't wash chicken that's improper food handling. When you wash it you are spreading bacteria.

Theres no reason to wash your meat. People who do it are actually making their kitchen more dangerous and dirty. The cooking will clean off your meat enough

Hi Cory, This is awesome. but i have one query by using this lightning connect is the data come into salesforce one time only. Or when the External url updated it will updated in the salesforce also ? I am curious to know .

Hey did you find out the answer of this excellent question?, i am getting my head into it
@apuroopnaidu10786 жыл бұрын
I guess if you Sync the data again or do the whole process again only then the data would be updated. There are no DML operations performed anywhere. Again, I'm guessing.

Thanks very much for your very comprehensive explanation. I find it really refreshing to have found someone using so many so well placed words, that makes it really easy to understand. I have one question though... who is Cory Cowgirl and what is here problem with the generator she is so eager to solve?

Hi Cory, This is the most helpful quick view of Connect I've seen. Thanks so much for posting. I don't know how often you login here, but I'm hoping to get a quick response. I know this probably sounds like a rookie question, and that's because it is, as I'm new to SFDC. I've watched several tutorials on integration and they all talk about the end point URL, as do you. So, here's the stupid question; where do I get that URL from? Since I'm connecting to an external source (i.e. a client app) my assumption is I have to request it from the client, but I don't really know. Also, if they provide the url, will I need a username and password from them to get into their system, or will the link suffice? Thanks in advance for any help. If there is anything else you think a newbie should know feel free to share the wisdom.

1. Yes the client application needs to provide you with the URL. 2. At 1:00 into the video when I setup the data source connection there is section at the bottom where you can define authentication credentials. You can do a Named Principal which is essentially a service account or you can say use the Current Users credentials. Hope that helps.

Great video. I am trying to create a mobile visualforce page that will accept a signature and save it as an attachment to the record. Thanks for the good start

This is a more polished demonstration video. It also shows the application running on a new Galaxy Nexus 7 which obviously has larger screen than my smartphone in last demo.
