i know this comment is 2 years too late, but isnt there a Macros feature in EZD? that would have made the thing you were trying to do with automation less complicated. but as we all know there are multiple ways to get around things. good video though!

I loved the video as it was informative but most importantly showed how to change the tempo throughout the song to give it a more humanized feel. Please make a video with a DAW using EZDrummer 3. I am ready to learn from the expert...

More importantly to understand, with all midi, for that matter, is the velocity level will control the "tone" of the sample spewed forth, like velocity does on any instrument played where velocity can affect tone. Dynamics is changing the "volume level" of the tones produced by the velocities chosen. Many just adjust velocity to get volume differences, but it IS affecting sample tones. So an example is.. a snare has a certain tone at max 127 velocity that you don't like because of snare ringing perhaps, so you have to bring it down to say 118 to get the sample tone or hit tone you prefer, BUT now you use Dynamics to bring the volume back up to what the 127 velocity hit would have been, or any preferred volume level with that chosen sample levels tone.

Dude. Thanks for the preset demo. Suggestion: let us hear the preset before immediately cranking tweaks in a whirlwind blitz that makes the tones impossible to really appreciate.

Hey, brother. I have a question: I wasn't sure how to get the drums (song) I made in EZ Drummer and record it into my DAW. Then somehow, I did it by accident, so now I know how. My question is, when I play the track that was recorded in the DAW, the quality isn't as good. The cymbals have a sizzle and even when I EQ it, it still has that fake cymbal sound. Is there a step I'm missing before getting the drums recorded on the DAW? I know this video is from 8 months ago, but I'm hoping you come across this comment. Thanks, in advance.

it would really depend on how you "recorded" the drum part. if what you just recorded sounds way different from what you're hearing from the plugin then it means that it didnt go through EZD's plugin processing thru the mixer and was bounced dry. Also if you've bounced the mic outputs of the individual channels and not through the buses then that would also be the result. hope this helps.

Any idea what Full Mic and Small Mic means in the presets?

I assume full mic is like snare top bottom, and kick in out mics and small will probably just be snare top and kick out

By dry tack I mean a second track with no fx. You can still use the other track recorded at the time with your sound. Hope that makes sense 👍👍👍
@jamesrushton2333

You could record a ‘dry’ track of guitar (I.e. no fx) and use that to create the .wav file for band mate to use. That would ensure the cleanest track that you could get. Or, of course, I could be talking complete b.s. 😂😂😂

Great video 👍. But what's about your process creation ? You edit your drum's tempo and tracking other instruments after ? Perhaps that you Time stretch your audio files in sync with your tempo variation ? To be honest,i don't really heard the tempo but i understand that is a good tips to humanize midi drum.

Thx, after the analysis of the wav file, you would open the genre tab on the bottom left and try different drum parts. Is it possible to add different genres into one drum part or would you have to split a wav file and run them through BM seperately ? Just curious about h versatile this is working with its drum files styles .

Thanks for the video! Quick question regarding how you got the grid split. I recorded a midi drum track with ez drummer in my daw, but can’t seem to split it into separate parts in the grid editor. Is this even possible?
@Huginnm

inside the grid editor and also in the song track is another tool aside from the arrow/pointer and its the scissor looking thing which splits the track.
