Fantastic proves this tune is my favourite of all time even without the orchestration how this group didn't hit American market a mystery

Not mono. This is the electonic stereo version from E.M.I., poorly summed to mono. It sounds awful. I remember listening to the mono and electronic stereo versions in the studio, [where I worked] at the Hayes facility. Produced for the 20 Golden Greats album. The original mono copymaster sounded really good, over huge Tannoy speakers, and beefy valve amplification.

Totally ignores the flow and feel of the original to come up with something different, but so much less that the Wild ones original IMHO.😑

I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed hearing the playing of a Peddle Steel Guitar, it's sliding, swishing swirls of full vibrancy and the reason I became turned onto country music and the years of pleasure and enjoyment that genre has brought me over many years.😊

Brian Bennett turned percussive drums into an instrument with 'musicality.' There was a melody in there!

Hank Marvin est, reste, et restera l’un des guitaristes les plus polyvalents depuis les années 60 jusqu’à nos jours. Bravo! Et merci pour cet héritage...

I love this album. I remember when my brother bought it in 1970. The sound of the guitars was so modern, not your usual one for older fans but as a teenager I was really fond of the arrangements and all these distorted effects. Even the organ was fabulous, thanks to Alan for that. At last but not least this particular song was my favorite for the fabulous intro !

Yep. Cliff could certainly find the musicians. He still can. The Shadows are legendary. Hank Marvin's style is still emulated by many guitarists around the world. With the co-musicianship of Bruce Welch, Brian Bennett and Jet Harris, Tony Mehan and Licorice Locking at different times, has made this group amazing for decades of music enthusiasts. May they live long! 🙂💗💗

Oh dear! Having been a fan of The Shadows from the beginning and have many of their albums 'Shades Of Rock' is by far and away the worst album they have ever released. Who on earth convinced them to produce such a mediocre album. So pleased 'normal service' was quickly restored.
