Once you complete the come to court quest where you meet Duke Edmun. This takes you to stage 4 in the game and the group of people chatting next to the fountain should appear. Overhear their conversation and you will automatically pick up the witch hunt quest where you can kill the golem and gain access to the area beyond Selenes house and be able to get king Bayleafs also.

Truly useful. So if you complete Reynard's quest line you'll fail this particular quest as you can find only 3 pieces. How stupid.

We had a relatively active Discord for a time where we actually did some strides to confirm the actual effects of Luck. For Gold/ C11 minibosses, this was done between 4 runners solo using consistent gear in single player. We tested "Normal" gear, high luck, "Rare Drop", Soul Eater, and Rare+Luck gear sets. We tracked the drop, the ending score, and time (sometimes). Some included their date and time locally of play. Basically, we tried to control as many variables as possible. After ~3000 runs, we came to these conclusions that we think are accurate unless someone actually is able to data mine how drops work. ---------------- There is some evidence that chest drops are based on the time in the stage. Not the stage timer (that can change based on skeletons dying) but the actual time in stage. This is visible at the end of the stage at the results screen. A user, Laharl, had been able to move frame by frame (1/60th a second intervals) to test drops on emulator. This would be difficult to verify on actual hardware. The reason other players don't get the same drop for the same character in multiplayer is currently unknown, but it is theorized that the table may differ due to player slot (most likely) in team or some other identification (player ID, etc.). Of note, we have basically completely confirmed that Luck is irrelevant for chests. Participants boosted their Luck to high amounts with no significant impact. It was concluded that running gear that clears faster was a better option. Luck does impact drops from enemy kills, soul drops from kills, and acquiring spells as Charlotte. Boss soul drops may still be impacted by Soul Eater Rings. The theory at the time was that Soul Eater might cause certain rare drop slots in the chest table to be replaced by Boss soul drops. We noted that with Soul Eaters on, some drops failed to come out of chests. For example, Caviar and Gungner seemed to not drop for me on Chapter 4 with Soul Eaters on. Ch.11 mini bosses count like normal enemies for Luck. With higher Luck, they drop their soul more often. Their chests seem to behave like boss chests due to the way Fuma Gear drops seem to work. ---------------- All and all, this is still not exhaustively comprehensive, but this was the best methodology we had without wasting our time tracking 10s of thousands of runs in solo mode. It also seems to line up anecdotally with what many players I talked to that have 1000+ hours in the game.
