Send me a link from the costa website you ordered from. There are several counterfeit websites advertised on social media that look like the Luxottica Costa Del Mar website but are fake and closed down daily. Send me a picture of your sunglasses. If there is no rubber on the arms and they came to you that way, they are fake. How much did you pay for them? All authentic Diegos have rubber inside the temples. There would be no case Authentic models were sold without it. You have the right to contact your bank or credit card company and dispute the charge for fraud in the case they are counterfeit.

Where did you buy them?

Depends on the model and lens. If they are 580g lenses the lenses are glass and would say 580. If they are 580p the lenses are thick polycarbonate / plastic and would say 580P. They wouldn’t be thin. Plastic frames were originally nylon. Some metal frames are titanium and some are stainless.

Did you ever verify if they were real? Was looking at some rinconcitos from EZ.

@@rp6817 100% real verified at authorized dealer my cousin bought rincons also from them and they are 100% real Also I compared under a loop 1 for 1 exact. If they are fake they are the best fakes in the world lol

@@rp6817 the hinges were different because the ones I got were the patriotic versions from a few years back the new hinges are different now. I reference checked them against pairs at 5 different authorized dealers. Trust me I went crazy trying to see if these were fake.

Well I'm still waiting to receive them. Says it'll get here April 2nd. Not sure why it takes so long but I do live in Hawaii. I bought them from a third party seller on Amazon named: Shadesdaddy

The last pair is actually a graphic from point of sale material that I received from costa prior to the Luxottica merger. I agree the logo with that dot on it irritated me. I was actually just trying to give a visual on the hinge.

Like I said, if someone is on a budget and just going for the look it’s a option. The polarization and the lens tint isn’t even close on counterfeit Costas though. I have a fishing buddy who works full time and took on a part time job to pay for his daughters school so money is tight. He bought a pair from a local sporting goods store that turned out to be counterfeit. He was pretty disappointed because he thought he was out the money. I met with the store manager and the best we could tell is someone bought them then switched the authentic ones with fakes and returned them and they somehow made it back into inventory. The store manager was able to track the return to the name of the customer who switched them. Nothing will happen from this incident, but he will watch that persons transactions from now on.
