The Subaru huckster is the un restricted version at 870 wheel hp and torque and no the head gasket doesn’t fail. The head bolt stretches at 17lbs of boost with a good set up and lifts the head under boost with arp studs and arp rod bolts. Forged pistons it becomes very reliable at 22 psi boost and 400 wheel torque is what I run on my daily. And that’s quite enough power for a daily.

Yes we end up doing anything and everything to them eventually dad wondering how are all the tyres worn out at every 10k kms 🤣 and how the sound of the car has somewhat changed over the years after being revved to the limiter in every gear over and over again, also how his friend who claims he gets 2x the fuel economy as per dad's calculation in the same model. My dad ended up selling the car for a new dumb compact sedan when I was in college back in 2017 and to date we still get into fights sometimes whenever that comes up I still miss that car it was a ford fiesta naturally aspirated not the rs spec but the mechanically equivalent mid trim of the same.

USA Rally, What Group are they ? And why they drive an STI Street Car ?
@rallybeastАй бұрын
It's the Open Class, and they aren't the normal street cars.
@user-qy9bf7wd1jАй бұрын
@@rallybeast Ah OK , so they are build Cars, not tuned Cars, so this then also not an STI at all and they are not classefied, these cars are racing beside all possible classes of Rally like in some events in Europe. Thanks, I hear the 1st time of the Rally scene in the USA , i did even not notice it does exist at all. Its interessting and its good to see you have rally events too also when its not the most popular Motosport of the USA, that might will change too.

Excellent video, and thank you for making the argument that the last generation of WRC cars were the fastest ever made. People with a serious case of nostalgia tend to circle jerk Group B cars over and over, and while they were impressive feats of engineering at the time, they would be no match for a modern rally car.
@rallybeastАй бұрын
That is so true! Group B started getting beat in the late 90's.

It seems that the knowledge gained from the factory prototype participation in the All-Japan Rally and the AP4 in Australia has been very effective, and it seems that the commercial version of GR-YARIS Rally 2 will be delivered to the top teams of the All-Japan Rally. I'm looking forward to the battle between Fabia and Subaru's prototype model, and I'm also looking forward to seeing it do well in the WRC. The above information was from Japan.

What was the reasoning behind limiting aero and the center diffierential in rally1? I could understand cost capping measures in the support classes, but it struck me as odd to do that at the pinnacle of rally. It literally makes the cars less sideways and Larry through the turns, which is a huge facet and spectacle of this racing discipline. Does anyone know what their rationale behind this regression was?
@rallybeastАй бұрын
I think it's to help teams like M Sport since they have a fraction of the budget that Toyota and Hyundai have. WRC can't afford to lose a team.

I would love FIA to kill wrc1 and ease up on the restrictions on rally 2 & make it the WRC1 (larger restrictor and more boost) It would make it possible to privateers to compete with the ”big boys”, and would be so much more fun to watch!

still dont get the hate for electric cars (if you have to, lay it on me gently)
@rallybeastАй бұрын
For the fans, it's mostly about the sound. That's part of the excitement and exhilaration of watching it in person. I think Hybrid is great because you get the performance benefits of electric motors with the sound of internal combustion.

Having seen them on many rallies, the problem is that those cars hit the road on the stage after the rally1 monsters. In comparison to rally1 on fast sections they look slow, soft on suspension and are way too silent. On slow sss they are capable of beating rally1 because they very nimble on slow corners. Diffs are pretty good. Probably some noise, harder ALS and stiffness on suspension cost not that much.

I don't think it good idea for Rally2 to be top class because 1) and possibly the most important thing is that if this is the top class, then Toyota and Hyundai will just simply outspend everyone as it should, and we will return at the beginning...again and again. 2) if manufacturers like Skoda and Citroen are not interested in this direction, then nothing we can do
@rallybeastАй бұрын
I can agree with that.
