Nice video! 00:20 and 02:50, I would have the SMG pump calibrated, there is slight delay in full engagement of the clutch (although assuming that SMG transmission was on S6 setting). Sharing the love for this car!

Great vid, quick question, what sort of work did you do to the SMG? Tune? By who? Thanks man. 👍👍👍👌

Thanks! The SMG is all stock aside from a tune by ESS Tuning. Seems to be holding up well!

I did some testing here in 2018 using the reverse layout, but without chicanes. It was a little unnerving. :-/
@ScottShadbolt4 жыл бұрын
I bet! Coming off the straight with the paddock right there is less than ideal! Fun layout though.

Thanks for posting. I'm there tomorrow. I hope they don't have that 'extra kink' in the straight (turn 13) I'd like to have a few highspeed bits .

What were you driving ? Tires ? Suspension? Engine Mods? I'm heading there next month for my first time on the DDT track.
@ScottShadbolt4 жыл бұрын
2002 E46 M3 supercharged, Trofeo R tires and JRZ suspension. DDT is a great track. I'm assuming by your user name you have an MX5, it will be a blast there!

Nice driving! How do you like that smg? Been thinking of getting a m3 with the smg... How is it going into corners?...
@ScottShadbolt5 жыл бұрын
Hey Pete, sorry for the slow reply on this. I enjoy the SMG on track, allows my hands to stay on the wheel and provides quick and consistent shifts. I'm not sure I understand thew question about coming into corners, but it does so just like a manual.

Nice driving! I was actually riding shotgun for these joyride laps in the 918, it’s mind blowing to think the owner wasn’t even going all out and yet the car haul’s so much ass no matter what. Wouldn’t really call it a battle though ;). Your M3 was definitely moving!

Must have been fun riding shotgun for that, especially experiencing the acceleration out of 5.
