I was never a song writer/composer... I played, Baritone, Trombone and Tuba. Then ultimately played electric bass guitar for years..

Why did I only just find this? My absolutely favourite British folk song in Acapella? Havr heard so many renditions of this song but this is one of the few versions to give me goosebumps - the bass section just sets you apart! Love this just as much as the King's Singers' version - if not more! Congratulations on such an amazing job!

These pieces came on the radio just before I had to get in to work so I sat and queitly listend and completely for got for a few minutes that I had to go to work and was at peace. Nice way to start the day. Never heard of Lauridsen or his Rose Complete & Dirait-on.

Why can't anyone get the tempo right? Most people record it too slowly and these people are singing as if they're in a hurry and they'll miss the bus if they don't finish quickly enough. Probably some goofy choir director who has a lofty idea they know better how to present a song. Ahh delusions of grandeur. They never quite work the way they're imagined.

Absolutely wonderful, who was the ORGANIST< and where is the Organ?

Thank you for the kind words. The organist was Simon Dinsdale, and the organ is right next to where the camera was placed. Luckily the microphones were positioned about half-way between the organ pipes and the choir, so they get a good balance.

I sincerely hope that the next time, we give some viewability to the Organ and the ORGANIST. Simon Dinsdale was absolutely outstanding. What kind of Organ?
