I thought maybe my MY was delivered w/o cameras being calibrated because all assistant functions act weird and cameras are failing w/o being dirty. If the mentioned issue sticks with the car/hardware they should find it if they calibrate in the factory. If. However, the video does not say what the root cause is. Things like 'low battery voltage short' do not really make sense. So we might be talking about things like hardware components overheating - in that case if you make calibration in the plant you just pre-stress the component before delivery. I see a ton of functional safety risk at my Tesla. But in opposite of the video I do not see a safety risk if cameras fail during calibration. It should be pretty clear that you should drive with high attention when doing calibration. And if HW is destroyed I assume you get a warning about that. So, everything is good from functional safety point of view.

The disadvantage of carriage motors is obvious. It is enough to hit the pedals on a stone once and the axle will be skewed inside the motor. In addition, the cost of such motors is inadequate

Hi Micah, the controllers used by big name brands nowadays are to sophisticated and every body claimed their is the most intuitive feel of biking, For me , they are all BS. They all have a bit of delayed response during start. I want a proportional response when i press the pedal. No delay and no alteration. Make it simple.

I absolutely hate adventure bike and cafe racer looks. That may be a side effect of my age and experience with Honda CB bikes of the 80's. The only thing this has going for it over the Ryvid Outset is the battery capacity. For me, getting up to 55 mph in a reasonable amount of time and holding it easily is all I need for my work commute. 70 is good if I want to visit my favorite restaurants in neighboring cities, but getting up to 70 doesn't have to be quickly done as long as it can be reached and maintained for up to one hour.
