I don’t count sewing by the number of garments I made. I count the number of new techniques I tried because sewing has a skill level of _infinity_ 😅 So yes, maybe you made fewer garments in 2024, but how many of those were new projects where you learned new skills and/or used new fabric/materials?

Patrice, I really like your New Look 6470 make the black and white color block dress. I think I will try some color blocking with that pattern. I love the cardigan as well. Hope you and I both get more garments made in 2025. I went into a slump that took me quite some time to get out of. I can’t wait to see what shenanigans you have planned for 2025 🤭🤭. So interesting to follow your journey! I agree about quality over quantity. My highlight was a particularly nice long sleeved shirt that is my "good shirt" for now; low-lights are trying to get trousers to fit. For 2025 my goal is to slow down and really work on that fit!

I like the pivot and slide. I've been doing the full bus adjustments the long way and I do have some success with it but I need to go back to Nancy's pivot and slide method. I'm excited for your pattern drafting journey! I'm kind of heading down that same path!

Merry Christmas Kris! I know you are out there enjoying the fete. I had some goat water yesterday and I almost licked the bowl 😅😅😅. I really love this shade of pink and I enjoyed using the fabric as well. As for the bias binding, I use it whenever I can. Facings and I have a complicated relationship .

I'm from the Virgin Islands so it about maybe 2 hours by plane to get to Montserrat where Kris if from. Fun fact: My mother is actually from Montserrat but I haven't been there since 2016.

Your top looks great on you. Your video is the second one that I have seen that uses the pivot and slide method for adjusting this pattern. I have this pattern and will definitely sew it now using this method.

Patrice, It was great seeing this video 🤗. McCalls 8528 !!!! It has your name all over it 😂. When you said M8528 I said YES Patrice get the denim out cuz I love the pattern as well. I was thinking some tencel denim might be a great look. Can’t wait to see what you decide to do 🤗. I was disappointed with the fall collection as well but I have many other patterns that will get me through this fall. Take a look at Butterick 6973. I plan to make both views. Well can’t wait to see what your next project will be.
