Blind chutes, sweeps ,hubs today are always designed today so there is no place for the handler can't climb or escape dangerous. Cattle needs to see daylight to move toward. All these blind chutes don't allow daylight. The person doing the work know more how to handle livestock than the owner or who ever designs facility. She's right all blind facility are good for workers that don't know anything about animal behavior. Tone of voice is important, cattle read body language very good. 😊

I am an enthusiast of livestock, cattle to be precise. I ventured into the Industry in 2015. I had to quit due to my bad experience as i female in a male dominated industry in Nigeria but i did give up. I am very excited and glad discovering the BQA when I was searching on Google for Organization where I can gain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the best practices and processes of Cattle ranching and it value chain. BQA training and modules are simplified, insightful and informative.

These calf stalls are great and wow easy to feed them (seeing as how bottle feeding must be done several times round the clock) very nice guys 👍

Education on medication administration is highly needed for all those who intend to keep and/or raise livestock. I have seen so many videos of people showing there work and telling what the are doing and giving subcutaneous med as if they were intramuscular and/or giving the injections in wrong location (too high or too low on necks). I think it best to slow down there partner and let's learn what is best and take'er easy now, slow and steady 😛
