We are glad that this has helped you too! As for cleaning, if your braava isn’t still under warranty (assuming not, because otherwise you would get your braava replaced), you can use something like Mr clean (1 tsp for a whole tank). Don’t use anything that is antibacterial. Be careful with the cleaner that you do use as it can cause clogging of the spray nozzle and be slippery for the wheels.

Thank you so much for making this video. I didn't have white tape, so I tried masking tape, and it worked! Any suggestions on Bona cleaning liquid alternatives?

I got a little lost when you took out the green rubber seal in the mop reservoir. I removed the screw, but didn’t see how you took out the green flap. Mine didn’t come out, even after I pulled on it a bit. Does it slide out? Also, how would your recommend cleaning the mop head pad itself? Thank you for this video! The amount of dirt I removed was astounding. Any recommendations for how often one should do this routine? I use my iRoomba every other day, and I have two dogs.
@CoastalBluffRoomba16 күн бұрын
Thank you for taking the time to comment. We are glad you found our video helpful. The green flap sometimes gets stuck owing to a build up of debris underneath the flap. There is a clear clip that holds the flap in place. You need to gently pull out the flap with your fingers and if necessary put your fingers inside the dustbin to push up. It’s possible you might need to soak the entire bin in very warm water to help loosened it. Then try to remove it. As for cleaning, recommend every 2-4 weeks.

Check your water tank - likely the seal of the cap isn’t working well. Take tank out, fill completely, and rest the tank on table or floor and see if any water is leaking from the cap area. The braava has a safely mechanism that if there is excessive water inside, it has a channel to drains out which is what you are seeing.

@@brainguynyc8729when the roomba is vacuuming the exhaust is underneath the roomba, specifically behind the latch that holds the brushes in place. There’s a small opening there.

The movement of air comes from under the main brushes through to the dustbin and then through to the hepa filter (the main brush module unit has a fan motor which you can see when you remove the dustbin).

Yes that’s exactly it! Thats what we recommend running it with very warm water. You can run it with warm water every time you run the braava which might be what you mean. Probably cleans better than with cold water.

We have been doing this for over 4 years without any problems. We recently found best to rinse them with water and then soak in filter soak, rinse again and then let dry in a warm place. This is entirely optional but we wanted to share for those that are wanting to reuse them, meaning less for the landfill.

Why is this? I just cut out the bottom part to look the same as the dry one. Took a small piece of the blue part and added it in with tape to secure to the rectangle that was there and longer than the dry mop and it worked.
@CoastalBluffRoomba9 ай бұрын
It’s because the sensor at the bottom of the braava is a bit dim which causes it to not detect the wet pad (it’s too dark to see it). The additional contrast is needed (it’s near sighted) so this is why it needs “glasses” !
