Love this review! I just bought this saw for my first ever home tiling project and I was a bit nervous to use it but it looks pretty straightforward.

I'm a bit late to the races with turbos and bov's, but just a quick question. My 89 Celica has a similar set uo but is there a detrimental affect of the waste air from the bov, going back into the cold air intake ? Thanks....good video and great car
@Homeonthetools3 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching, BOVs in factory setups by law (at least in OZ anyway) are vented back into the system as close to the throttle body on the cold side as possible so to answer your question you should be all good, with BOVs like the turbosmart being able to dial it in is a huge plus

Just wondering, if you have a jig set up, would it be easier to use a heat gun rather than heating the sand?
@Homeonthetools11 күн бұрын
Nah mate the heat gun just blasts holes in it and makes a mess, you won’t get smooth arcs, I did give it a shot no good

Very nice tutorial, thank you. I found that drilling the outlet low on the cap and putting on a valve to add extra flow control was better for me to avoid the risk of putting it too high

Very neat work, however did you consider the potential lead leakage from that type of 90mm U-PVC pipes? They are definitely cheap, I have been considering whether or not to use them, or source some food grade plastic pipes.

Hi mate, thank you again for posting the video, looks like you are in eastern suburbs too, I have drawn plans too but trying to find a engineer / surveyor for my project. Would you mind sharing company you used for surveying. Also did you have to use drafting services, or plans from the app were sufficient? Thank you.

Hi! Just a quick question, how can you remove the plastic say when there is a cyclone or cam you remove both plastic n frame then refit after a cyclone?I luv this design for our women farmers but this wud be my only concern and how much did it cost to construct? I am enquiring from Fiji.
@Homeonthetools23 күн бұрын
Hi there, yep easy to remove the canopy, just pull the clips off and fold away when a cyclone is around, As for the cost, if you didn’t do the concrete floor you could build this in Australia for around $1000, mine cost around $2500 with the concrete floor doing all the work myself, good luck with your build 👍🏻

Thank you! This is what I had been looking for. 2 questions, can you do a video for tiled roof? Also if you need to be licensed to do this for your own home in Victoria
@HomeonthetoolsАй бұрын
Hey mate, glad to help, I am just a home diy channel and don’t have a tile roof so no video for that one sorry, however it is a similar install just a different flashing kit, as for being licensed I am not but I am an owner builder on my house, to do extension works, a plumber is meant to sign off the work (flashings) I believe. There is more info on the VBA webpage regarding BAL ratings and size of the skylight etc, so something to consider with your install, good luck

This is the ultimate example of creativity in using PVC for such a project.👏👏👏👌👌 Specially, I like the sand application in giving new shape to the PVCs. One major thing that I find as overkill, while it makes the whole project extremely looking nice and clean is having a concrete floor. You see, I look at projects such as a greenhouse, as something that gives me maximum flexibility with the least amount of effort and cost for change in the future, if in case I wanted to remove the greenhouse completely, or wanting to move it to a different location. At this very moment, I’m building my own greenhouse that is mainly intended to protect the fruit trees I’ve already planted, against extreme weather fluctuations. It is going to be 21 feet long (6.4M) by 7 feet width (2.13M). The foundation and surrounding frame is made of free wood pallets, up to the height of 47” (1.19M). Then I’ll be using 1 inch (25mm) by 10 feet (3M) PVC pipes to make the arch. I hope I won’t need to warm up the PVC to create the arch.🙏🙏🙏 Anyway, I only use screws, if in case I need to remove or make changes to the greenhouse in the future. With 1 inch wood stakes I secured the wood frame into the ground without any cement.

Hey mate, it is an aquaponics setup, the clay balls act as soil media to give the plant roots something to grow in and the tank below with fish in it supplies nutrition, check it out in one of my other videos, thanks for watching
