I am intermediate with python and understand basic programming concepts and hve a grip on the syntax, but not sure how to get going from there. I just want to work as a freelancer, I hate corporate and don't care if I don't make 623423 million a year, as long as I can sustain myself, I'll be happy. But it's tough getting started. Basically I am stuck in chatgpt hell, which is where I get jobs in but solve them with chatgpt and I fuck myself, because due to that i never learn on my own, but I depent on it. Fml. Also I wish to get away from fiverr, as the platform is terrible, and get into backend development. Currently building webscrapers and clean excel sheets, not very exciting nor sustainable. Currently I am doing a codecademy coure on flask and plan to maybe do a django one after this, but not sure about what kind of services I can offer really? Obviously I don't know much about backend, but I am interested in it. Your video has good examples though, I give it that. Any additional advice?

Good day, Aleksander! Great video as always. Just one question, on timestamp 1:53, you mention that Upwork rewards "active closing contracts on a regular basis." I believe I am just missing something here. So what gives a boost in profile visibility in your opinion/when do you get the boost: 1. After starting an active contract and earning some money on the first milestone or 2. Only after closing a contract that already earned some money? Thank you!

Well, I think clients will view whichever proposal appears first to them, if you take so much time to think about crafting a unique content based on the client job posting, the job already has 50 proposal before you know it. Thisbis why i use a template and i just copy paste it lol

quite incredible that I see this video now in 2024! because its true, many companies (which are really strong based companies) has no online presence and they are closing their stores quickly but now they have seen the importance of having a online presence. Thats why I built my freelancer firm. E-commerce development Shopify Based. (also to mention that many of this companies need a POS connection)

It is very, very rare to find job posts with details related to the scope of work or what's needed in a freelancer to suit their project. Now there's a bunch of meaningless, AI-generated gobbledygook on many of them, too. I haven't had work on Upwork in over a year.

@@AleksanderVitkin The only way you can do that is to PAY to submit a proposal for their job post that lacks critical information in hopes that they MAYBE message you so you can then ask for the call and find out the info that they should have included in the post. That's a sure fire way to spin your wheels and go broke in the process. Quality clients include all of the information we need in their posts.

I care about their life stories to see if theyre parallel to my perspective in arts. Sorry but I think you should’ve just said that everything depends on the clients characters and situations.
