@PEAXEquipmentCo which color is better suited for white snowy covered environments? Example: going ice fishing, I always blow my vision out reflecting it off a white snowbank with white light at too high of a lumen.

I just burned-in my Torrid today, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the ease of creating a hot, roaring fire. This stove has a tremendous amount of heating output for such a packable size and weight! I couldn’t be happier!

Pre-burned in stove pipes are a service I would have paid for! One needs a pair of chain mail gauntlets and some extreme care when doing this. Also, ensure that the wire rings are crimped appropriately prior to this step. I had three of them come apart when attempting to untwist the pipe into its intended position.
@tundrafunk74028 күн бұрын
I had this same problem with the rings first time burning in my stove. Very frustrating.

Great design... except the side wall body ...a stove made of titanium foil will eventually fail...I would like to see a video now with one or two seasons of usage...it's ALWAYS easy to show a stove assembly video with all brand new unburn parts.

You get your choice. Multi-color AT THE SAME TIME is just going to clobber your night vision and spook more game. Might as well have a white light. EDITED for clarity. My original choice of words was confusing.

UPDATE: Peax customer service made it right, sending me a new replacement battery. Due to demands, took a few days to get thru customer emails. Many Thanks to Peax' Blake Bishop for following up. I ordered the Peax headlamp on September 4, 2024. Upon arrival, Tested fine. on October 3rd, tested again and to charge for my upcoming late October hunting trip. The battery is dead. Tested with voltmeter to be sure, yep dead battery. Used a 3200mah battery from my camera gear and the headlamp works fine. My emails (5) to Peax Equipment Company customer service have gone ignored, requesting a new battery be sent for replacement. This is NOT GOOD! ?!!-HELP?-!!

Love everything BUT use of cheap polyester. Hunters & outdoorsman demand Cordura Nylon. Never polyester. It should be a goal to change that bag as to not cheapen the rest of the product.

Question...The body design seems similar to the seek outside u turn stove. I passed on that stove after researching and found that owners complaints were the heat distribution from the flexible foil type side was inadequate and didn't heat as well as a ridged sided stove. Is that the case with this? BTW..I purchased a Duo headlamp and it is the bomb. Thank you
@PEAXEquipmentCo2 ай бұрын
I am a little biased here, but from my personal experience, I don't have any heat distribution issues. If anything, the UTurn shape and ergonomics of the Torrid create a really strong draw, creating a cleaner and hotter burn than a traditional square design.

I bought a peax headlamp and had to send it back because the charger wouldn't fit. I spent $11.60 to return the headlamp and "customer service" is telling me they cant refund what i spent on the return shipping but they can give me a "spoon, beenie or shirt". Why would i want anything with the company logo when what i bought didn't work! Stay away from this company!

I would also add that you need to ensure the stove is away from the pole or the heat will warp the tipi pole….and if you’re in Alaska for 10 days, it will suck lol
