La Signora's mask is almost complete. I'm excited to reveal the full look when it's done! Process: I found an image of her mask and printed out several copies on paper. I cut the layers out separately and traced these onto 3mm EVA foam. I used hot glue to attach everything together, and acrylic paint to add a faux metal finish. The details took the longest but we're worth it!

How do you upload your video to the outschool platform for a flex class? I made and edited mine in Canva, now what?
@MossflowerAcademy2 жыл бұрын
In the video I demonstrated uploading to KZbin, then you can embed it in your classroom post.

Sorry I didn’t make my question very clear. I have the video edited on canva can I just add that video file to the classroom from the downloaded canva file or do I need to add it to KZbin and then add the KZbin link?
@MossflowerAcademy2 жыл бұрын
@@jennifersclassroom2424 sorry, you can definitely share it like that if it works better that way! You don't have to use KZbin, it's just very handy for large files.

Can they share your KZbin link with others outside of Outschool? Seems like there is nothing to stop that?
@MossflowerAcademy2 жыл бұрын
That is correct, technically someone could send copy the URL or bookmark it to access later. To avoid this, you could consider unlisting and re-uploading your videos for each individual section. Another alternative would be to not use KZbin at all, but upload the video directly into the classroom (or Nearpod lesson, which has an expiration date). However, I tend not to worry about this. One reason is that the videos are only a portion of the class experience. The parent is paying for more than just a series of videos. I also include a note in the description that states that the video is for enrolled students only, and asks them not to share or redistribute the video without permission.

Must all Flex classes have videos?
@MossflowerAcademy2 жыл бұрын
It's not specifically required but most parents are going to expect at least some videos, even if it's just the introduction and explanation of assignments, etc.

Question: can the students see teacher on-screen along with the Nearpod content? The same way we can see you in this video?

Hi Astrid, I came across this you posted on comment on OS Teachers Hub. This is very helpful, I definitely need how to use this because this makes Zoom classes more interactive. Thank you! I subd your channel as well. Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦

Astrid do you use any other collaborative activities in your student paced Nearpod classes to satisfy the Outschool requirement of interaction for students, or is what you have shown enough?
@MossflowerAcademy3 жыл бұрын
I sometimes add activities along with the Nearpod, like a craft project or discussion questions, but the majority of the activities are in the Nearpod lessons.

Great video thank you! since you made this video I think student paced is now available on the basic version? also for outschool if we were to use a virtual field trip would that breach copyright?

So the students need to have two devices or one device with two open browsers (1. for out school and 2. for nearpod)?
@beths38663 жыл бұрын
How do students stay in the LIVE meeting if they have to log in to Nearpod? My students only have one device which is an iPad. I told them to split their screens but the Nearpod app isn’t allowing split screen so I can’t see my students and they can’t see me. Will they at least be able to hear me?

Thank you so much for the video! I have a quick question: We cannot use the Nearpod Zoom feature, correct? because we need to login from Outschool to Zoom, so Nearpod must be logged into separately?

That's correct, you log into the Zoom session from the Outschool classroom.

For the weekly lessons, can we just make videos through our personal zoom accounts and upload the video, or provide the link to that video?
@MossflowerAcademy4 жыл бұрын
Yes, you'd upload it as a video file. If it's a large file you can compress it, or upload to Google Drive and try adding it that way. Another option I've done is upload to KZbin.

Thanks for the great video Astrid. I wondered if you could clarify the steps for the teacher when doing a live lesson on Outschool with Nearpod. I know you said to log into the Outschool site first and then share the link with the students in the chat. I'm not clear on how I get the teacher version of the Nearpod class to be connected to the Outschool Zoom session. I don't know if this makes any sense or not. I'm just having a hard time figuring out how to make this work for my classes.

Hello and thank you for a great video. Could you pls clarify whether the GSlides load into the Nearpod site to be taught there or do I create slides with Nearpod features and present with GS? And, my student has trouble using her iPad because when she opens her keyboard to complete math answers in GS, the keyboard covers my GSlides. Will my presentation through Nearpod allow for a better IPad experience? Anyone can answer my question and I will appreciate it.
