I think what’s going to make or break this game for a lot of people is understanding the role of each character & their synergy with others. As someone who just jumped into the game, I had no idea what I was doing (like killing my teammates with Jeff even though I didn’t press the button 🙄)

Honestly I remember seeing the first trailer for this game then basically nothing for two years… so maybe those shorts & prequel novel is great but I’d imagine only about 7 people have read/seen it

Its more the stasis unit since thats what affects matter. If it was the kinesis unit then it would have basically given necromorphs the ability to throw objects with kinesis. Experimental special forces powered combat suits. When they turned their biomass fused with the suits and stasis unit causing a power loop. At least that's my rational explanation. In universe markers are a source of unlimited energy that doesn't require wires or any kind of physical connection to power other objects. Since the necromorphs are powered by the marker, so too would be the stasis unit. Which also explains why computers and terminals throughout the ship that have no power will light up with marker script playing over the screens.
