Good video!! My knowledge of scotch game theory ends at Kd8 in that position. I knew position because I always play Qh4 with black against scotch game. So I would have been confused there if i didnt see Kd8.

I don't think you made a mistake by play Qe5. Under the pressure of the clock, that was the conservative play. Pretty straightforward from there. BTW, congratulations on securing such an overwhelming dominant position. If you have the time, could you post the list of moves in the description section so that we can see how you got to this point? (I have a hard time envisioning how Black managed to get himself into a discovered check position so deep within his defenses.)

hey, thanks for the comment! Here's a link to the game, it comes from an early sac of a knight vs caro-kann, which is not very sound, but not terrible and forces the opponent to think and be accurate - which is tough 3+0 lichess.org/KpVtd0RC/white#1

@@chesswithivan8346 if you can tell me how, I'd be more than happy to. I can assure you I have a very limited audience and they are not the least but interested in chess (I wish they were). But I think if you want to grow your channel, the key is consistency and finding your niche since even chess content on KZbin is oversaturated. You had good momentum initially but then you took a long break. If you keep posting regularly, I'm sure you will find an audience.

@@chesswithivan8346 let me try again. I have no problem promoting your channel as I believe it is good content. However don't be fooled by my following. It is a very random fan base of only 1 or 2 very popular videos.

@@chesswithivan8346 so I am not sure how interested they would be in chess, especially since chess content is oversaturated on KZbin. My honest suggestion, if you want to grow, is to keep posting regularly like you're doing right now. You had a hot streak with your initial content but because of your 2 year break, obviously the interest will have waned a little. But the best strategy, not according to me, but according to Mr. Beast, is to get to 100 videos regardless of views. Once you have 100 videos posted, the algorithm should start helping you out. All the best!!

Wiki: "Salimova won the Bulgarian Women's Chess Championship in 2017, after which she was invited to play in the C group of the Tata Steel Chess Tournament. In April 2018, Salimova became the Bulgarian champion in section G16 and 2 days later, Bulgarian blitz champion in the boys' section under 16. ... Salimova scored a WGM norm and a second IM norm in December 2018 at the age of 15 in Zadar, Croatia with a performance of 2492. In April 2019, at the European Women's Individual Chess Championship, Salimova scored her last (valid) WGM norm and became a WGM at the age of 15 years and 10 months. She also earned the right to participate in the Women's World Chess Championship. ... In January 2022, Salimova got her first GM norm at Vergani Cup (January edition), after defeating the former world championship challenger GM Nigel Short. In the 2023 Bulgarian Chess Championships, she ended half a point short of first place. Although she tied for second place with two others (both GMs), Salimova was awarded the silver medal because her tiebreak points were higher. In the tournament, she finished ahead of six GMs and lost only to the champion, Kiril Georgiev." So if it wasn't for covid restrictions she was basically ready for the highest levels of chess years ago.

Thank you for the comment! Personally I have been watching her games more closely since 2019 and definitely love her style and amazed at her improvement. You are right about Covid, it is evident also by her very high rating around that time, even though now she has finally improved it. GM title is not far off!
