what..the absolute fuuck...is this calculator/man talking about??!?? it's at this point easier, just feel it out and naturally know where(when!?) to place that snare & bass drum back n forth, ride it with the hihat, and fFuck the math textbook the hell off a cliff somewhere. That way, no kid cuts the guts/pages out the middle to hide.... weapons in.

Mike played with Umphreys McGee for a night of their new year's shows & it was incredible. There was a good video of him playing Wizard Burial Ground that looked like he was having a blast. One of my favorite live bands with one of my favorite drummers, it was pretty epic.

I think it’s pretty cool that you can admit that. I know if I was listening to Umphrey’s McGee I would kill people to keep it from becoming public knowledge…you know? I would be constantly asking myself “do I want to never sleep with another woman again, or do I want to just keep my terrible taste in music a secret?” Posting it to KZbin? Pass.

This is true. I do vocals while playing guitar in all kinds of odd time signatures all the time. And I’m not even that great of a guitarist. Don’t get me wrong, the first couple times I play it while I’m learning or writing it, I’m very aware of the meter, but once you can “feel” it, it’s no different than a riff in 4/4, it becomes muscle memory. I wouldn’t be able to do it if it wasn’t intuitive after a point.
