Hey man I have a Aimpoint Acro for a 90° Reptilia Mount but it’s it’s too low and I’ve been looking for a Acro to Acro riser does that even exist?

I have never seen anything like that however, you could buy an RMR or Aimpoint Micro 90 mount and get a conversion plate to acro that will raise it up some. Expensive sadly but an option....

PWS…
@thegungoober4660
@thegungoober4660 16 күн бұрын
I haven't weighed a PWS long stroke piston bolt carrier. But I would say... probably it is heavier. And even if it isn't, the weight being further forward, even if its the same weight, would be more cumbersome than a DI gun that has it all in the rear. Does the PWS work?? Is it reliable? Almost certainly. Is it more than a DI gun? Enough more to matter? Maybe, maybe not. I do have a PWS ambi lower, and that thing is slick! <3 What do you think about PWS?
@TjForLiberty
@TjForLiberty Күн бұрын
@@thegungoober4660 The PWS carrier is indeed heavier. I own one, and I am looking into a DI system for weight savings, and parts commonality; but still enjoy piston systems also. I was an avid piston rifle aficianado after first getting into rifles around 2011. Around that time, there was a lot of new marketing geared towards piston rifles, and a lot about how internal piston was inferior. Years later, after l began shooting internal pistons (mostly for work) I began to appreciate them. The light weight of the internal pistons, and slim rails, make them compelling. The PWS carrier is heaver, but also the gas tube housing. The PWS rail is also slightly thicker. This does make the weapon slightly heavier in my opinion. The Mod 2 (flagship) has found ways to shed more weight, and is more enjoyable from what I hear. I doubt they are as light as a internal piston rifle. I find myself enjoying the feeling of our work rifles, more than the PWS, but would be glad to have either. I can get you exact weights on the carriers soon.

My adams arms & pws shoots flatter and less recoil than my aero precision, theyre all 16" rifles to compare
@thegungoober4660
@thegungoober4660 2 ай бұрын
All things being equal the piston **should** have more recoil. Although, typically the piston guns are heavier, as described in the video, so they have less felt recoil. Perhaps your Aero is more over-gassed than Adams or PWS? Or does your AERO have a adjustable gas block? Probably just getting the right gas setting for your rifle is more important than if its di or piston when it comes to recoil. So you are probably right.
@tasjan9190
@tasjan9190 2 ай бұрын
DI is indeed superior to piston driven systems, save maybe for a slight advantage when suppressed. The DIs are lighter, more accurate, and more reliable in adverse conditions. That being said, a lot of the Piston driven ARs are still nice. Edit: Liked and Subscribed.
@thegungoober4660
@thegungoober4660 2 ай бұрын
Yup! Pistons might give you slightly less gas in the face, but so much gas comes out of the barrel anyways with a suppressor (even a low back pressure one) its kind of a wash either way...
