I think this was one of the last good songs Chicago ever did. Then they hooked up with the ever boring David Foster and put out really lame, middle of the road songs like Hard to Say I'm Sorry. The only good part of that song was the rarely played extended version, where when they let their hair down and jammed out.

Whose great idea was it to put that stupid star on there to block out most of the video?

At Stanford National Rent a Car would let us . . . . After unsuccessful voyages to SFs Castro I would drive back to campus. This was invariably playing. There were a bunch of these songs. Gathered together my friends called them "the Sunday suicide set."

Die haben als überragende Jazzrock-Band begonnen und landeten schon nach wenigen Jahren bei solcher Sülze. Die Degeneration ist schon an den schleimigen Frisuren und Klamotten ablesbar.

We loved George, didn't we ?? He certainly contributed so much to the Beatles with his distinctive guitar riffs and accents, his pre-heavy metal solos, his uncanny knack at writing catchy tunes...some actually great early ones, too ! If I were his producer on " This Song", I would have had him ditch the trendy " Saturday Night Live" sax solos and had him dare to solo on his own guitar, without hiding on his well used slide technique. I think he felt intimidated by contemporary guitar gods like Jeff Beck, etc., but, George had his own melodic and memorable style, which we all remember and loved. It must be said that no matter how great each Beatle was on their own, Brian Epstein warned John that as individuals they could never approach the success and popularity of the Beatles as a group. The magic and charisma they possessed as a group was almost indescribable. We were so lucky to have them be a part of our lives...especially George !

The songs of the 70s were romantic. Not like the aggressive, sexually explicit lyrics I often hear now. Okay they could get a bit sacharine but you knew your old granny could listen without being scandalised.
