The Aussie Salvos I went to had a Deep Harmony Club. It was a male youth thing. They even had little laminated Member cards haha. Not sure if it was just our corps or if other corps did it too.

It reminds me of my youth in Lancashire and listening to the brass band from the local colliery. Just wonderful. The sound of this beautiful music brings me to tears as I remember those days of old when I worked down the pit..

a band that plays like an organ. Without pause, the sound always, always goes through. This is exactly how the composer must have imagined it. Dynamics and intonation are wonderful. What a treat...

My first reaction to this, when I first heard it, was, "It's much too slow!" But then, when you apply the words of that amazing hymn, "When I Survey The Wonderous Cross" to this tune, then it is right and proper that the tempo is slow. Well done!

Beautiful! Such control yet so powerful. Played at my fathers funeral. He was a champion cornet player in New Zealand and here in Australia. Listening in Encounter Bay, South Australia.
