I am waiting eagerly for Fuji X-E5. I love camera with rangefinder format. I have X100VI for couple months but it is not for me with one focal length 35mm equivalent so I sold it while the second hand price is really good. I prefer to have lens 50mm and 24mm equivalent with me while I travel. Fuji X-E5 will sell like hot cake for people who love X100VI but prefer more choices of lens like me. Please Fuji. Making my wish XE-5 as my Christmas gift in this year 2024.

Dear Patrick, please I need some guidance from you regarding the fuji autofocus issue that is becoming more and more problematic after each firmware update that has been launched for the X-T5. I have put my purchase decision of this camera on hold. I am torn between the fuji X-T5 and the Nikon Zf. Before the issue exploded on the internet, I was quite sure that I was saving up for the Fuji due to the slightly smaller size, the lenses I wanted and I have owned Fuji Cameras in the past and have always been happy. I will highly appreciate your guidance. Is fuji planning to resolve the autofocus issue anytime soon because if yes, then I would really want to wait and see the fix, and just buy the fuji. If not, then I guess there is no point in waiting anymore and maybe I should go for the Nikon. It's always wonderful to hear from you. Many Thanks

Fuji is great as long as you don’t need tracking….this has to improve before releasing anymore new cameras. People are just tired of all these firmware disappointments.

I sure hope Fuji plans to add IBIS to the xe5. Also, because this camera just begs for a “pancake” lens, it would be great if they could do a refresh on the ANCIENT 18mm f2 lens. The 27mm is nice but not as wide as needed for landscape shooters.

There is no way they will continue with the xe but discontinue the x pro, that's just crazy..

The X-E4 is my favorite Camera of all time and my wishes for the X-E5 are the 40mpx sensor, weather sealing, ibis and the design should be exactly like the X-E4. For all Fuji cameras I would love to see markers for different aspect ratios like 21:9, 4:3 etc.

I'm hoping the next generation of rangefinder style Fuji's feature a substantial grip with the trigger shutter button, GA645zi style would be incredible. X100vi battery just drains by itself , even in standby, I use lcd bcs of some visual impairment but it’s shocking how short it lasts n drains without taking shorts just Looking at LCD learning menus n see few previous shots ..: I am keeping the cap on so camera don’t try to focus

If it will be a fixed lens, Im hoping for a 45mm! With the rangefinder look. Also with no logo on the front! A discreet logo on top as the XP3-Dura. Or an updated GFX 50R.

Thank you for this rumor Patrick. In my opinion, the XPRO4 will have to be released prior to the XE5. After all, the XE is a smaller and lighter version of the XPRo like the XTxx is to the XTx. Fuji almost lost me for this sh#!ty product strategy to force everybody who want small rangefinder style to the pricy x100 (where they also artificially reduce the supply). An affordable and available X e5 would certainly a start to get into contact with their customers again.

Yes...bought a X-E1 (second-hand)....long, long time ago as a back-up and was using it more than I expected. Later on I let it transformed to IR and still use it (rather a while ago no). Easy because it was so compact. And watch out....a lot of teleportations over there hihi (2:20 and 3:00). Moved to the Sony camp after while for a A7r-m1 and now A7r-m5 but the Fuji's are so easy to use that I'm hesitating for a XT-5 or XT50...and X-E5 as back-up. And the megapixels went up in a good way for me (landscape photography).

Isn't the bird-standard 400mm F/4 the thing all wildlifephotographers have been missing in Fujifilm ecosystem? Why the heck go for a minimal reach increase and a lot less light? Well, because it's based on the GFX-version? No doubt it's at least gonna be quite brilliantly sharp then. (in bright daylight, that is) :D

I hope it have the stacked sensor and IBIS from the X-H2s. Seems like all their new X system models are just using the high res 40mp sensors, but I think having a more reliable electronic shutter (thanks to the stacked sensor) might be more beneficial for a compact and potentially very stealthy camera that is perfect for the street and the X-E line is the best candidate for that role.

What a wonderful world and a lovely town! I imagine there is no shortage of beautiful things to photograph with Fuji cameras there! This is why I love to travel so much. To visit places like this! I tried to find it on a map but couldn't. I will keep looking though. You gave the clues talking about history!

For those of us who don’t care at all about this, I’m just wishing to God Fuji would release…well, film. I JUST learned I loved Fuji film and Super best of all right before realizing they don’t seem to GAF about it. Please Fuji….Kodak sucks as a company but at LEAST they are still doing something to respect real photography. I’m so sad. I was on your side.

Well， X- E5 is not the point. If X-E5 is coming, that means X-Pro 4(or 5?) is coming in 2025 as well.

I love the idea but I'd prefer they invest in the R line to make the best possible + some nice compact lenses. Fujifilm is the only camera system offering a vast "in camera crop" experience with XPAN, 6x7, square and others. That's sufficient to provide the shooting experience, flexibility and image quality. If they'd make a panoramic sensor, I bet it'd not be wider that the current super full frame, not use a dedicated mount. If FUJIFILM were to create a new standard, I'd rather like to see them open the 60x70cm space with a huge sensor (it's doesn't need to have more than 100M px at first).

The XE-5 I'd love to see would essentially be an X-T5 in a rangefinder body. No optical viewfinder. No missing features.

400 F4 with a built in 1.4 TC would also be sweet

Started with an X-E2 which was great, and went to X-E3's ( a pair of them when shooting jobs). X-E3 is a very capable camera with more than enough features. Will still be curious to see what the X-E5 will be about. I just ordered an X30 as I wanted something small for when I don't want to bring a variety of lenses...I know it's ancient tech now....but still quite capable. Wish Fuji would bring this line back with a larger sensor...it would probably be an instant hit

I have the X-E3 and love it. It still works well of course, but will considering upgrading (if there is sufficient stock!).
