You can use adhesive remover to prevent that. The adhesive remover makes it so that the tape just slides off.

Every lip is unique and must be done to fit that lip. Her top lip is much fuller than her original "virgin" lips so injecting the border would have created a less defined look and the illusion of "filler migration" due to excess puffiness.
