That panchax will eventually eat all of those small fish. It's only about half grown. I had one about 6 years and the bloody thing ate anything below 2".

What would be your “best” tip for attempting to equalize the flow for the overflow - pump. I have 1.5pvc over flow part way down closer to the exit I have the pipe reduced to a 1in with a control valve. I have a pump that can do around 900GPM with a 1in hose to 3/4 nozzle for flow.

Excellent video and definitely an under-discussed topic in the hobby. I have noticed many african cichlids coming from Asia are pumped on hormones. I noticed some fish I bought from a questionable source looked beautiful but they lose coloration within 2 months and get brittle and like you said their immune system is weak and they end up dying because their immune system is weak. Also their 2" fish look like 7" dominant males. It's not right. This is especially true when moving fish long distances with shipping, the fish get stressed and end up dying within a week due to the shock and change in environment. Thanks for bringing this topic to light. Nothing like naturally colored up fish with good water quality and quality food.

The one you poinout as a tube anemone is an aggregating anemone (Anthopleura elegantissima). The majority of those are giant green anemones (Anthopleura xanthogrammica)

Too much light. It won't grow. That's why your rock is "going" green in some spots. Too much light, too many nutrients, and algae wont' grow.
