If the mining industry is so sure about their impact being negligible let them put up a bond of tens of billions of dollars. Is there one watershed post industrial "anything" that has returned to its prior native state. I know of none. It is that primal state where natural resource health exist.

Where do you think NG and gas and diesel fuel comes from? I actually had one tell me her NG comes from a delivery truck. You have one of two choices, $12 a gallon gas, diesel, and NG, or new pipelines. You chose. Look we will eventually get to all %100 wind, and solar electric but the technology just isn't here yet. It took almost 60 years to change over from horse and buggy to gas powered cars and trucks. We will get there, just not overnight.

I worry about the water safety mainly. It will harm and poison so many children, adults, all the fauna and flora if there is a break in the line that travels through the water. Pipeline companies are protected so they do not have to be responsible for their disasters. We must fight pipelines and the government and not allow our lawmakers take any money from mega corporations.

They aren't drilling, less tankers on the road. Fuel for the turbines to generate power for your EV. Fuel for the farm machinery to produce food for all. I guess back to horse and buggy days to satisfy.
