Press harder, bring back end of knife up higher when drawing knives threw. Hi up gets you sharper. and oil too it helps on some knives. Leather makes a big deference to. Get back with me if you can't get it. O the sharpeners work better the more knives you sharpen on them, sharpen more knives to help brake sharpener in. Trust me you will not where them out, they brake in.

If I'm sharpening small scissors or a small pocket knife, how many times are you required to swipe it until its sharp?

Depends how dull they are and if they are cheap or well made. well-made sharpens quite fast. This is not a sharpener that you drag a blade threw 3 times and takes off the edges. My sharpeners reline and Hone blades, takes well-made knives shaving sharp, cheap blades sharper.

It will not ruin your serrated blades, I sharpen enough other blade and gardening tools with my sharpener, I don't need to make up things to sell my sharpener. Try It and get back with me.

No 😡 wife left camara home. It was assume for a one day show. they did a re-enactment. was pretty cool/ They staged a Moonshine raid, with a shot out. Hade black smith making thing, they made sugar cane syrup, and I was over runed with people needing there knife sharpen. Brook record sales. Got Strawberry fest next weak, Big show. I'll try again.

First make a CD, with your intro on it. And show how to sharpen everything from blades, serrated, scissors, lawnmower blades, axes, swords etc. The CD alone is worth thirty five bucks. Then sign them up as official BLOCK reps. Figure out how much discount to give them, and how much discount to give their customers. Every year competition to win some kind of extra fine blade to the one who sells the most. They invite their friends, have a party, bring all their blades and sharpen them for free.i imagine you could sell the CD alone for at least 25 bucks. Make it 18 with a purchase. Free if they buy 10 or more. You'll have to figure that all out.

Tupperware made themselves a household name with home partys. Ever consider a BLOCK party? A CD on sharpening, bunch of BLOCK sharpener,s and a chance to win a fine blade of some sort to whoever sells the most. Charge for the package of course.

Cardboard boxes dull a blade quick. You can sharpen stanley utility knifes with the block and cut boxes for days on the fly.

Why spend a load of money, spend all your time trying to get just the right angle, and have to use graduating grit stones? Block is cheap, tough, guaranteed, and can sharpen EVERY blade edge in the house! I got 2 one old one and one new one. And the old one is still just as good as the new one. You won't regret getting one.

Great Video Paul ! I notice that the sharpener is not good for 3CR13 Mov which is cheap steel is that correct ? I tried everything with the sharpener cannot get it sharp it’s a Texas toothpick any advice ?

I just sharpen one yesterday at the market. I was hard. but I press hard when drawing them threw the rods and I got it. If cant get sharp use diamond sharpener to re pro file it. Be carful though you can takes to mush steel if over used. You knife will turn in to a real tooth pick. Block, one sharpener does it all, knives, serrated, scissors, lawn mower blades. Even utility knife blades, and short whittling blades.

It looks like it's nigh on impossible to pass whole of the blade through the sharpener. At no point did the demonstrator sharpen the complete edge.

Just flip axe around to hit the back corner? Its not hard. this is just a quick sharpening to show people we can sharpen more than a kitchen knife.

Iv never seen a sharpening system designed to flex.. iv never seen a good pull through sharpener. This is eventually a honing rod x 2. I'm skeptical

Made to push edges and reline while honing blades back to original true edge. Took me many years to get to work perfect. Not great on supper dull or Badley damaged blades, but for finish end they work great.

I use honing oil on well made knives, Keep everything cleaner, W-d works great when sharpening mower blades and Machetes and really dirty outside blades that might have rust on them.. I use it to clean the rods off.

Are the two holes for screwing it down? or should I just drill one bigger screw right thru the middle of the grip?

The two little hose are for a Lenora rope. Look on the side where my name is, You will see a dimple in the back end on the handle. that a soft spot to screw threw. that where the softer rubber flows threw to fill the other side. Keep the name side down when you do.
