It seems Armor Games still exists, their website might still run it okay. Otherwise you may need to do research finding it in Flash Game archive packs? I don't know for sure, its been some years since I played these now.

Admittedly not too much, I did help as a moderator on their forums and if the group stuck together longer would have probably been more involved over time but for most of the time I was involved in the community I was still learning the tools and the group split up not long after I finally contributed a few sprites that were of acceptable quality (I don't believe the version of the game that included these was ever publicly released either). I'm super grateful for the patience they had with me trying to help even though I was young and still learning, even all these years later I feel like their encouragements have stuck with me and helped my skills grow in a decent direction.

@@Crabmaster i am curious, if its possible to legally revive the game - at least at some point. As far as i can see, the Quellcode was released, but sadly i don't know enough about this stuff.

@@RoschuhLP The project was Open Source so I believe by gaining access to the source you are able to make a fork within the rules of whichever license it uses, I recall there was a small group of people from the old forums that tried doing this but I never really stayed in contact with them as they don't have much of an online presence and insist on using IRC rather than newer platforms such as Discord or even having a Twitter account or anything. They still have a website at least: secretchronicles.org/en/ Besides them, you could try contacting the original creator Fluxy (Florian Richter) to try to get more information on how to make your own branch, their email/ways to contact them can be found on the game's official site, the game's SourceForge page, or maybe you could try finding him through the Twitter or website for his current game project: twitter.com/GaiaBeyond A difficulty the game was going through and part of why it ended up abandoned was the group never felt like it was differentiated enough from Mario to avoid possible trouble down the road, you can notice this has an awkward impact on the fork of the game I linked above as they tried hard to replace sprites or make them look different but there was never a set artistic vision on how to fix this issue.

@@Crabmaster I actually needed to google IRC - yeah, that is defnitely beyond my age of messengers xD Like... even Skype would be a better alternative... But i didnt know, that there was actually a group still working on it. I only knew the old website. i should check out the new version <.< For the time beeing it was just a thought. I am currently just learning bit by bit, since i have not enough time. And even then... I dont know. It was a nice game, but at some point it should rest - maybe. Even if it is nostalgic. Also i guess, that i would create some mini game which i could call my creation for statification. <.< yeah, i can see that. On the original last version, there was even that... 1:1 copy (if i remember correctly) about the Canon/flying bullet. Not sure about this anymore. Or the coupas in your gameplay shows it good too :D

@@RoschuhLP Yeah, IRC is an old and reliable way to chat especially for random people curious about a project, but it is extremely bare-bones and at this point everyone just uses Discord for that exact thing. For all I know at this point their community could just be one guy. I definitely understand how you feel about wanting to work on it out of nostalgia, I had one last attempt a few years ago trying to see if anyone from the old group was still around but ultimately with the old forums being gone decided to leave my past in the past and continue on my own projects. In the end it isn't too hard to make a platformer of similar quality, so with the aspect of making it as a community being gone it kinda isn't much more than an old mostly forgotten relic of the good ol' days.

Hey I don't know if this is the place to ask, but I was wondering if there was a good way to pick and choose which structures generated. Should I delete the function files?
@Crabmaster
@Crabmaster 4 жыл бұрын
I'm trying to remember whether deleting the function files for structures would work and just not spawn anything if that structure is picked, or if it would break the pack. You could test in a creative world by deleting one and seeing if it loads maybe? Once I eventually come back to this pack I'll be looking into updating it with Mojang's new datapack features, which if those work like I think they do should make it easier to customize?
@Ruben-zd8hj

@@Crabmaster Alright thank you, I think deleting the function files does the trick, however just to be safe I'm deleting both. Again, thank you for the pack!
