That includes Dessers, Danilo, Matondo, Tavernier, Lawrence, Dowell and Butland. That's nearly £200k a week that has yet to be reinvested in the squad in a more intelligent manner.

@@bazzledust2912 I disagree. Aberdeen will finish below us in the league. They are not playing in Europe and the other teams in the league don’t play like it is a cup final against them. The other mob have spent 30m the past two seasons to achieve the level they have reached. Our board have countered that by spending 10m per season and reduced the wage bill by 10m per year. The manager might make errors but you have to admit he has been working under terrible circumstances and still expected to win the league. It’s absolutely crazy to expect that from this squad and manager this year. The board and new CEO need to get the finger out and fix the problems they created and get the money necessary to make us champions again. Not just competitive.

@bazzledust2912 Aberdeen isn't Rangers. They're not under the same pressures, and the good form they have will no doubt drop off. Don't think for a second they are going to become a dominant force for the foreseeable future. Clement is doing exactly what is asked of him by the board, the results right now are secondary to reducing cost and lowering the wage bill. There is too much rubbish still in that squad. Rangers are suffering now because of previous failings. They'll still be players in that dressing room who have been told they are being sold but being played to maximise value. There are huge disparities in salaries.. The morale will be low until this rebuild kicks in. You can change the manager all you want, but it won't change the situation, it'll just add to the financial problems long term.

We can take the odd loss, what we cannot take is badge cheats, people not good enough for the club and zero progress but going backwards in the league.
