I received my first crochet kit a few weeks ago. I decided to use the yarn to crochet the one project, the woven storage basket. The instructions say to “work the 4-row basket stitch pattern 6 times or until work measures 8”. I was only able to complete the 4-row stitch pattern 3 times, measuring 6” with the 3 balls of yarn provided. Not only is the basket 2" short, I don’t have any yarn to crochet the handles. I'm very disappointed with this kit. I don’t want to buy another skein because the kit instructions claim the 3 skeins is enough to complete the basket. Also, I paid $15 extra for 2 more skeins of yarn thinking they would be the same yarn as in the kit. I had been hoping to be able to crochet all 3 projects in the book, but I was sent 2 extremely small skeins of pink cotton yarn which I have no use for. I wasted my time crocheting a project that I can’t complete. I reached out to customer service several times but they haven't responded. This is very disappointing from a company that has very good reviews and is endorsed by some of my favourite KZbin creators.

Pretty! I bought a mystery box from Cinnamon Stitches and it was Bloom Chunky all in a cream color with small specks of color. I made a poncho with it. It turned out really cool looking and is so comfy. 😊

I love the Red Heart roll with it Tweed if you like it you better grab the ones you see…. It discontinued. I just made a Bag-o-Day shawl in the color way Potpourri, it came out beautiful!

I'm sorry to hear about your father in law. That is sad. Hope your mother in law does well in your home. It'll be a grieving time for her, and great adjustments. Does she crochet? I've only worked with 100% cotton. Not a cotton blend.

That is a beautiful yarn. It worked up nice. I've never used it before. If you have babies for there are many items you could make. Or if you donate. I always like those baby buntings.

Thanks for showing the hooks. I grew up using the basic steel hooks, and now I am hooked on the Hobby Lobby wooden hooks. The yarn is pretty, but I don't like the tangle or how you can't just pull it out of the skein. I have had several of those recently. Did you like the Go-Ring yarn? Did it have any problems?

I like that the hook and needle are metal. My kids have received kits with flimsy plastic hooks.

Maybe the stopper should be near the top, have it above the regular hook flat section before putting the outside over it.

That looks like a sad product. Not worth trying~
