Here's a tip to those who have the error that says something like "modules not attached" when they have already completed their build. I have had this error before and it's extremely frustrating when you cannot find out what's wrong. The error is usually due to you changing pieces without releasing that the piece you removed was required to have other pieces stay connected. The best piece of advice is to ONE BY ONE move all of your pieces to the other side of the screen. This will ensure they are all attaching and you will eventually find the one that has been "floating". I've had pieces in the middle of my ship giving me this error. Hope that helps!

Since morrowind I've put 1k hours+ into all Bethesda mainline titles. My experience with SF was I played 300hrs on gamepass, bought the digital deluxe to get shattered and modding purposes, played 1k hours and had my rig crash (unrelated issue) and now have gone back to playing via gamepass cloud on my android till I can replace my rig. Point is its a great game. So is NMS. don't follow the youtube hype and play/try games for yourself. ❤️🍻

Small tip at each space station search around area on same floor that buy upgrades look for small orange boxes that will give you navigation data which is used to purchase maps from cartographer whos on bottom floor of space station to right of the teleporter, ask to exchange for specific maps, purchace exosuit upgrade chart, or for chance finding distress signals for crashed ships purchase emergency cartographic data. You dont use credits it cost nav data to buy these. You can find nav data in alot buildings planet side as well.

you DON'T need to pay money for suit upgrades, there are maps that go to PODS (from the quests given from NPCs) , just follow them and land near them, they all need one carbon tube, anti matter housing and sodium nitrate.

FYI 4 rows of tech slots each in your exosuit and ship will pretty much cover everything you need. You won't have room to optimize it all, but it will cover you to the point that you can play comfortably.

Such a logical well said statement. Starfield was always a Bethesda game, and thats exactly what I wanted!!! I hope they never change! The freedom alone in Bethesda games and the worlds are all I need. Story helps too 😊. I don’t and never did play Bethesda games for the combat mechanics to ride a horse or vehicle. I have 28 days, 6 hours (678 hours) logged in on Starfield (I didn't even venture into NG+), and with the amount that I've done in the game, if space travel was un-skippable like No Man's Sky or Star Citizen, who knows how many more hundreds of hours I would have spent JUST doing that. Fast Travel has become my bestie in Starfield...I began exploring black holes in No Man's Sky, and by the fifth one, I already tired of the tedious and monotonous process of warping to each system, and was longing for a "fast travel" option.

12:00 There is many other ways to get slots for your inventory. You've discovered one way, and you repeat it again and again, that's why it's tidious. Also, that way costs a lot of credits, and the price is increasing ! So, let me teach you an other way, a much more cheaper way. In your inventory, you ve got 4 items called navigation data. ( You can find those inside building and on space stations, they look like coloured cubes, just pick them up when you see it ) Now, go to trade them with the cartographer guy in every space station. Ask for specific charts and choose ' drop prods coordinates '. That way is free of charge and allow you to keep up exploring planet's surfaces.

A lot of people complain about the loading screens in Starfield but you have to remember that it's designed to work on console and mid range PC's and there's A LOT more interactable stuff than in No Mans Sky, Star Citizen, or Elite Dangerous Odyssey. If you wanted to get rid of the loading screens, imagine how much memory it would take when you land at New Atlantis and have to load every gun, armour, resource, and assorted nic nac in the city. And trying to stream that data into the game while you walk around on the chance that you might choose to go into that store or some other house would probably tank the performance. Or, they'd have to VASTLY cut the amount of interactable stuff to make things seamless. Flying around over planets is the same but faster. It would be nice to skim the surface till you get to a base, but imagine the pop-in you'd get as it tried to load everything at that base as you approach it at high speed. You see this even in GTA5 flight and that game has very little interactable stuff in only a few locations. I really like NMS and Odyssey for what they do well, but neither of them have the same world depth of Starfield.

When claiming ships, consider what you want to do with it before scrapping. If you're getting parts for ship customization, you won't want to repair anything besides repairing the launch thrusters and pulse engine, and salvaging or scrapping any extra tech(such as that X class module). Most importantly, dismatling that shield tech instead of repairing it will get you a wiring loom vs costing one. Since you don't like the wings on this one, I would take the parts. The second option requires some resources. If you're going to scrap a ship for units, repairing the cargo slots(not tech) will increase its value. Your final option is to just use it as a trade in when buying a ship. I think repairing the cargo still applies.

When you do get into outpost building and resource extraction, the prime difference between NMS and SF (in my opinion) is this: NMS uses the passage of real time. SF uses the passage of Universal Time in-game. All resource extraction is based on on those. This means that you can rest on a planet with a high time ratio (local time to universal) in SF to speed up getting resources. In NMS, you can't speed up resource extraction that way, though there are some things that you can regenerate by leaving the area so they respawn (like curious deposits you farm for mould that refines into nanites). This affects your expectations on how you build resource extracting outposts between the 2 games. With SF being based on a level/skill point system, you can leverage the waiting mechanic to generate resources which you can turn into levels/skill points through crafting to make your character what you want (and sell stuff for credits). With NMS, you build your character through gaining crafting knowledge, equipment, and upgrades which are purchased mostly with credits and nanites. Bases can get you both of those in NMS (not that you can't get them in other ways). The only other currency that builds character competency that I can think of right off is hunting buried tech, but you can get by with a relatively low amount of that depending on the quests you do in NMS and your (player) knowledge of the exact bits of building knowledge/recipes you find most useful in play.

So, I have been wanting to return to Starfield and No Man's Sky for the last few months - No Man's sky has come first and unfortunately I think it will delay my Starfield revisit for a long, long time - the reason being there is just so much to do in no mans sky, for example, last night I built a small base on my freighter - recruited some frigates for my fleet and set them off on some missions, I completed a community mission, did some adventuring and exploring, fought pirates, aliens and sentinels, hunted out some law and story and followed a small story quest, experienced crazy weather, hunted for ships, built another small land base, searched undersea for some rare resources and that was just in a three hour play session - I skipped or didn't delve into many other parts of the game and offered quest lines that I was coming across in that time, and I know I am still just scratching the surface of what is available. As a relatively casual gamer I tend to just concentrate on one game at a time for a few months (maybe diving around in a few games just to take a peak and see if they will become my 'main' game. By the time I'm bored with NMS I have a feeling light no fire will be released putting back my Starfield revisit even further. THIS IS VERY DISAPPOINTING! lol

Thank you for being one of the open minded Dragon Age fans. They act like Dragon Age should be a PC exclusive strategic franchise, even though that could cause a franchise to be irrelevant. I’m more of console gamer and I’ve played all 3 games on my PS3/PS4/PS5. I wasn’t a huge fan of the combat in Origins since it was slow, unresponsive and felt like I wasn’t playing the game, just watching them fight. I’d prefer Dragon Age 2 and Inquisition’s gameplay since I felt like I was acting fighting these enemies. Sure, the VeilGuard Trailer was trying to be an MCU movie, but the gameplay itself look promising. I’m one of those people who didn’t act like Veilguard is going to kill the franchise or be the final nail in the coffin since either Dragon Age 2 or Inquisition. I play the Dragon Age games for the lore, story, characters, banter and romance options. It’s one of the reasons why I enjoyed Baldur’s Gate 3 it’s because of the game’s writing. And yet Baldur’s Gate 3 gets some flack by fans of both Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2. They claimed that Baldur’s Gate 3 was appealing to the LGBT community, that women were knights and it made some retcons to the lore. I don’t care since 1. Baldur’s Gate 3 was my first DND game. 2. It’s an RPG meaning that I can be what race, gender and class I can be and 3. The game won a lot of awards back in 2023 since it appealed to a wider audience. Dragon Age 2 and Inquisition was meant with similar criticisms such as the LGBT romance and women being soldiers. Again, Dragon Age is an RPG when people can be any race, gender and class they choose to be. Also Dragon Age Origins also had LGBT romances. It’s like Dragon Age has the same fan base problem that Fire Emblem has.

I think you hit the nail on the head. At least for me, I went into the game thinking it was going to be something it wasn’t with the RPG elements added into it. Then I played and was very disappointed. The problem is that Bethesda purposely advertised the game as vaguely as possible without technically lying about it to hype it up. It’s as if they got a team of lawyers and made sure they couldn’t get sued for being so vague. For example they said, you can explore 1000 solar systems in this vast game galaxy they created. So we’re all thinking that’s cool. We can zoom around the systems in our custom built ships and run into other NPC’s, maybe do some astroid mining. Detect anomalies on our radar and go check them out. But in reality, all you do is spawn in next to a planet. An NPC might spawn in right in front of you with some dialog options and you can either interact with the ship which usually leads to nothing of importance or you can load screen down the planet. I don’t blame the consumer for hating on the game. I think they were purposely mislead by Bethesda. Although Bethesda didn’t “technically” lie in their advertising, I believe they were being deceitful knowing our imagination would run wild and we’d buy the game asap. Your content is great BTW. Thanks…

At the end of the day Todd and Bethesda will talk positively and promote there game they made but as far as SF goes they were very upfront about a lot of things and how the game actually was but people didn’t want to hear that and went off what they believed the game should be and not what it is.

It was a great interview. I think what I was most disappointed about in the game was not being able to freely travel around the solar systems like you would in X4, or Elite, or any other space game really. Todd Howard never made that part clear. He kept the space exploration vague. But I get it now. It’s not a space game. It’s an RPG set in a space Sci Fi theme. I love modded Skyrim. Running from point A to point B was the open world part of the game. I thought that’s how Star Field would be. Traveling through space from Point A to B while in your space ship but it wasn’t like that at all and Todd never made that clear and if he did I never heard it.

You'd see posts from people who literally couldn't sleep in the days and weeks coming up to the release. A lot of those overhypers turned into the game's biggest critics when their fantasies about it shattered. They unconsciously expected a perfect game that has the best space *and* ground combat, the best exploration, the best quests, the best writing, the best base building and so on. They would name all those games that do X Y Z better without realizing they had to name 4 or 5 games just to compare to 1.

It's not easy when the developers for the game talk about it with such excitement and love for the game. I am sure I am going to enjoy it, I mean, despite its flaws I enjoyed ME Andromeda and replayed it a couple of times (which is a lot less than any of the trilogy ME games and that's not including the replays with the legendary edition). Whether I spend the thousand plus hours I spent playing Origins, the hundreds of hours I spent playing DA2, and the over fifteen hundred hours I spent playing Inquisition (and that wasn't spent chasing down the shards and the mosaic pieces - never completed those), remains to be seen. I definitely think the combat looks to be the best it's been in DA, but then I did prefer the combat style of ME.

Funny enough I just responded to your answer on my comment on another of your videos where you disagreed on me saying NMS and Starfield are not space sims. The point you made in this video however is exactly the one I tried to make: genre definition. As soon as people hear "space game" they somehow expect it to be THE "everything game" . Ship customisation, simulated ship controls, on foot exploration, realistic planetary landings on lush and realistic earth-like worlds, RPG elements and quests, open-world sandbox world that is also a simulated realistic galaxy, exciting ship combat, on-foot combat, lots of aliens which are all different, intelligent alien races which communicate with you, mining and resource management, base building, EVERTHING. That's just not one game, that's at least three. Yet people are salty when their wonder-game doesn't deliver on all these imagined "promises". I'm an Elite Dangerous player for about 9 years, and they tried and didn't get much praise for their efforts (which was, to be honest, also on the developer's side, but well, there's always something). That game is a space sim that tried to become an "everything" game. In any case, I don't know what it is, but as soon as "space" is involved, people have expectations blown out of proportion for some reason and want games to be everything. Making a decent RPG is already a really, really complex, complicated and expensive project, as well as making a genuine space sim, or a fantasy space sandbox game thriving on procedual generation with an insane amount of things to do and build. It's simply not possible to stack all these things on top of each other and have the one everything-game.
