I noticed they switched off this transmitter immediately after De Wilhelmus ended, on the European Shortwave transmission of 6065 kHz, it took longer to go off air (they leased Wertachtal transmitter site in Germany), and as it was controlled externally by a third party transmission provider, rather than Radio Netherlands Worldwide (RNW) themselves, it probably took a little longer to switch off.

Radio Nederlands was my very first INT'L SW station heard in 1970 from my grandfather's DX shack and my very first QSL rejection (wrong frequency) and later my 2nd actual QSL, followed by HCJB, after watching this I began to well up a bit. Hard to believe that RN, RCI, R. Australia, SRI, and so many other Int'l Shortwave broadcasters are now gone. After 25 years, I left the hobby in '00' and was largely unaware of the silencing of these broadcasting giants later in the decade. With the end of the Cold War, the proliferation of the internet followed by Social Media (which was still few years off), I suppose it was inevitable, still, I feel a part of my youth disappeared with these closings. Gettin a misty eyed....

yeah I miss all the stations that are gone. HCJB was a good one too. Nothing on shortwave anymore.
