Just FYI - hwanggeum manne was (I think) specifically coined to refer to BTS's Jungkook, who is also being referred to in your example tweet! It's because he seemed like he was perfect at dancing, singing and rapping, even more so than the other members. I'm not sure if it's now expanded to refer to other groups or not.

Gotsu Totsu Kotsu is awesome. I found them by chance when I had the thought "hey there's viking metal, samurai metal would be cool af." I also found Onmyou-za who have definitely become one of my favorite non-extreme metal bands. There's also Whispered, a Finnish melodic death metal that exclusively do Japanese inspired songs. Necronomidol is another interesting metal-idol group, they mix J-pop with elements of darkwave and black metal. And definitely check out Gonin-ish.

@scriptingjapan5279 hell yeah. Considering how long their career is its honestly surprising that they've never made a bad album. All their albums are Bs and higher imo. I was in Japan in 2015 and was lucky enough to pick up one of their albums and a Dir en Grey album--my absolute favorite Japanese band.

I wish ツ and シ as well as ソ and ン looked more distinct. It sometimes trips me up especially with weird fonts and handwriting. Making the small lines either fully vertical or fully horizontal would fix it.

I usually associate の particle as a "linking/connecting" particle while に is a goal particle; I understand it better that way.

@@guyloser2 there are three distinct NI particles and you need to keep them all seperate. NO as a linking particle is fine but remember that it only links nouns to nouns.

I've always liked to think of を as an english equivalent of "the" in a way, since it emphasizes what's the thing you're talking about

@@LDranzer1 that's not a good idea, as in many cases it doesn't do that. は is closer. A generic sentence like 犬は水を飲む could just be "dogs drink water" rather than "a dog drinks the water"... Indeed the former is more likely.
