It’s Costco fault. They should have had an employee give out limited per customer while people were in line. they have one employee screaming at them to walk, but that person could’ve been passing out the boxes…..

This happened in the late 2000’s we’ve collected for 30 years. Our oldest son loved Pokémon and we collected Nintendo. You know what helped this? Limit ONE per customer. We were always fine with that. Local shops knew us they’d put back a couple extra for us knowing we weren’t resellers. Just loved to collect and our kids loved to play. We’ve never sold a single thing. Maybe trade. Easy problem to solve, limit 1 per customer and follow through. Do not even allow registers to scan more than allowed. 10 per is insane

Online websites like ebay, mercari hell even Facebook market should get together and ban the selling of new Pokemon cards for a couple of months that way scalpers can't resell them online

I was wondering, in my country I can buy 151 scarlet and violet boosters for around 2.50 US each. If folks are acting like this over booster does it mean I should consider selling them in ebay? Over here people don't really care for pokemon

@ The biggest thing to consider is would people pay for international shipping to buy them from you. I know EBay has stepped up their game and have made it easier to do international shipping (where you ship it to a facility and they ship it out) but I am not an expert on that and if they cover most of the cost. You said that the people in our country aren’t acting like idiots like some of these people in the US nor care about them that much. Right now those items are going for around $10 a pack. I think that will go down with more costcos restocking. After the 13% eBay fees on the order total, the best you would make is around $5-$6 per pack IF someone buys from you. Right now Prismatic Evolutions would be the better pack to buy and resell as they are $12.60-$17 a pack. However that too will go down once Pokemon Center does a reprint. I stick with Lego reselling after the set has retired to help fund my own Lego collection and the hobby within. Buying, holding and selling after it is no longer available isn’t scalping. What most of these people are doing out there is. Buying up a lot of stock that people want that they now cannot get, and reselling for higher. There is a lot of competition in that game since, to people, it is a quick almost crypto like flip. Pokemon for me has been just a nostalgic endeavor which I completed a master set of 151 and I am super happy. Prismatic evolutions is a fun set, but the chances of getting what you want is so slim and the amount of cash you have to fork over to big MAYBE get what you want is a slippery slope. Unless you have a lot of money to burn on the experience as opening up packs is an experience.

Jake im so happy!! My first Prismatic Evolutions pre-order came in an hour ago! I got a case of 10 ETBs, 10 tech sticker collections, 10 poster collections, and 10 binder collections. 😊 Looks so nice on my shelves
