Help! I married a Morrocan! Okay, so I was warned and I reverted less than a year ago, but we've been blessed with a son due in December, so as much as my American mind wants to hit the divorce button, my Muslim heart wants to keep up the struggle. One of the biggest disappointments isn't from my wife, but from the community. The huge Masjid in CT doesn't answer emails, the marriage counselor we were referred to overcharged us and then gave my wife's phone number to her husband to call with a big story, and it has been one red flag after the other. I was prepared to learn arabic from my wife and I still don't even know how to pray a rakat or even how to say I love you or know what my husband means in arabic, come to think of it I don't have any photos of us after the wedding. I've tried to separate but she turns violent and then depressed and I don't want the baby to suffer. I'm missing work and have anxiety about everything I need to do. I have exhausted myself playing lawyer and doctor just to communicate clearly but it's like I'm living the definition of insanity. Everything is an argument, day after day. Am I wrong for having a problem with my wife saying she cheered on 9/11 and burned the flag and is still happy about it to this day. At this point I'm afraid for my unborn son and her 10 year old son with a drug addict she shares custody with and that's a whole other nightmare.
