i don't say this ever really, but i think this is one of the most moving live performances i've ever seen. this shit is almost scary. theres another perspective of this same show, you should check out this song on it (it shows more of the bassist in white crawling around on the floor and sticking his head in loud areas, and has better audio imo)
0:28 When you try to summon demons but the demons are just pool toys.

I was so happy when I heard they were releasing a new album. I saw them years ago at a local fest around '06-'07 and totally blew me away. A perfect amalgam of hardcore and prog.

This is so fucking cathartic, the only thing holding the performance together by the end is the drummer, the guitarists/bassists are just collapsing.

I love that whenever this song was played live, it's like a summoning ritual of some sort. This vid always gives me the chills everytime that guy from COC (i think? correct me if i'm wrong please!) and the other guitarist gets on the floor and bow like a believer of some religion. Never fails to command me to do the same thing.

man this would be so good if it wasn't recorded on potato in a basement. on the other hand that's what gives it it's charm

So as some backstory this was one of the first times they had even come to Philly since releasing their first album really. The love in this room was unimaginable and the entire night was great. Thank you for letting me relive this moment so many years in the future.
