Should have kept going intstead of turning left into the PX. Would have been nice to see Kelly Hill again. Haven't seen it since 2008.

Was there in June of '75. When I came back in '79 for recruiter school, a big change to be walking through there as an NCO instead of a basic trainee, LOL.

Arrived at Lackland 28DEC60. Sat around twiddling thumbs threw NY Eve and Day. Entered flight 1 of '61. We're are all the WWII Barracks..lol. Don't recognize anything. At 18:05 I see an overpass that might have been the one that at that time had signage "Gateway to the Air Force" if memory serves. Maybe not I seem to recall the bridge being wider and flatter. What is ECAT (?). I was going into Electronics, finished BMT at Keesler.

At the beginning of the video you passed where they do the blood draw and immunizations now, usually at the beginning of BMT, now trainee's aren't even allowed back in that area

My birthplace too - haven't been there since 1999 -to see my Mother before she went to Heaven -even then I could hardly recognize it - probably right now not recognize it at all - except certain streets and buildings.♥Surprised you didn't pass by the Swamp.

Ft. Moore HOOOAH. That base is where I did BCT in 2000. B 2/47. It's also absolutely what I call my home of my MOS in a way. Ft. Moore is where a certain Regiment came to be over time, in Korea also, Iraq too. In Vietnam the 227 Aviation Regiment was the first Helo Regiment, then after that a stint in Japan, then in 2ID where I served was 3/227 Aviation Regiment to which I was assigned, after that back to Ft. Cavazos in 2006-2007 getting ready to deploy to camp Taji Iraq. I'm forever connected to a part in real life of We Were Soldiers. 3/227 Aviation Regiment. Even the CSM at the time I did a intrapostal transfer asked me if I know who Air Cav was he mentioned the movie and basically said that is who we are. It never crossed my mind I'd already been in that Regiment in Korea. Makes mre damn proud to be a veteran
