Because hummingbirds have such a high metabolism rate, time seems to slow down for them like it does when you are young, and the years go by faster as you get older.

I love all of my hummingbirds, they are so Precious to me, the more the merrier. They love the nectar that I make them, 4 parts water and 1 cup of sugar, boil for 5 minutes, let it cool, put it in a jar and put it in the frig until you need to fill the feeder. Happy Hummers .

I just started feeding hummingbirds I would like to try that with mine I live in a condo I put up a hummingbird feeder had it up for two weeks nothing came bye at all went to homedepot and got planter boxes and put petunias in the I got pink petunias and as soon as I did that a got a hummingbird to come bye I put two pirches up on my porch I made them out of wood dowels and they love it so I’m happy they finally come now my hummingbird Floyd comes buy and sits on it every day I named my hummingbird Floyd

I have a hummingbird that has been following me for the last 2 years i don’t have any feeders because we have a lot flowers but the hummingbird has fallowed me places like 3 miles away in a car

These birds live in Central America during the winter, and visit me in Humboldt County, CA on their way to their summer breeding grounds in Alaska.

I've eaten these using a similar method to catch them but I had a cardboard box trap that I could pull closed at a distance. Obviously it's not much to eat so I store them in the freezer until I get maybe 12-15 of them to make a meal. They are really good and almost have a sweetness so I always use sweet sauces when I cook

It's true. Their wings have a figure 8 flapping pattern, allowing them to hover and fly backwards. I'm watching a hummingbird right now as it's getting a drink from our hummingbird feeder.

I stood in the spot where my hummingbird feeder normally hangs with a capful of solution of 4 parts water to 1 part refined table sugar.

They are migrating and haven't established territories, but the resident Allen's Hummingbird has, and he chases off all the Rufous Hummingbirds at the end.
