Just got here , omg your video help me lot , but still have lots of question , tomorrow we have housing briefing , I wish we live in safe and lovely neighborhoods. And this might sound silly , I wanted to live in renovated house . Lets seee how it works . Anyway thank you for video.

@bigdamnhero9751 yes, when you are in processing, they give you an amount if you are doing private housing, but if you get government housing, then it is the same as living on post where your BAH is automatically taken so you don't have to worry about paying each separate bill. Private housing however, you pay the rent, water, heat, and trash with the BAH amount you are alotted.

Girl i don’t know how you survived in a hotel so long. We just got here a week ago and staying off post. We picked a govt leased house and hopefully move in a week. They offered us 2.

I think when we came, it was more chaotic than it is now due to COVID conditions and I think more ppl were pcsing in as opposed to out. We stayed in the hotel about 6-7 weeks and we ended up getting into an apartment in camisano out of desperation because we were tired of the hotel lol we took a loss on BAH because we took what is considered an E4 government housing, but it had most of what we wanted and we loved the town. We don't regret it 🙏

We used to go to the pallido for McDonald’s too!!! All the little rides and games for the kids were there too! It did look different on the outside tho! We were all on bowling leagues also!! 😂 I am sooooo happy to see your videos!! ❤

Thats good to know there is AC in some homes. We just suffered with fans in Germany! The clinic thing was the same for us in Germany, had to go to Germany hospital 30 mins away for emergencies. Thank you for sharing. We have this on our list of places.

There is AC in pretty much every home HOWEVER it's not central AC like we are used to lol

We will find out on Monday if we're getting Italy. My husband's son is 14 so we're not too worried about kid stuff. I'm mostly worried about my service dog. Not sure if Italy is animal friendly. 🤔

Italy is extremely dog friendly....they enjoy dogs more than actual people lol they have more dog parks than kids parks and dogs are allowed everywhere

They do have houses with fenced yards, our apartment is all fenced in and has a gate. You'd be able to find one 🙌

Hey hun I have a question is it true that you wait until you get there to look for a home ? Or can I put my husbands name on a waiting list for housing ? How does that go? I’m freaking out because I got two little ones

Yes, unfortunately housing here is nothing like anywhere else I've ever lived. You have to be here first and go to a briefing about how housing here works. If I were you, I would get my reservation done at Ederle Inn before anything else because it is right next to everything. I have 2 little ones too and it wasn't that bad because we were at the hotel on the base where everything is a minute walk.
