@Kayaks2fishNextGenYaks Hi guys, Great Job, I want to do this for my trailer, and want to recreate the frame and the upper kayak portion. but I am way living way out in the never-never , and Ill have to order everything online so its difficult to plan the correct bits and i cant find all the dimensions for the materials i need. Ive sourced the Roofrack / outer add-on Bar combo, * but what did you use for the crossbar for the top Yak ? .., It looks like Aluminium in the video, and it looks an odd size too compared to the galvanised side bars it connects to, .., as the tabs you have cut from the bar (to make your tounges to pass the bolt through) are wider , or did you just bend them out to fit? ) if you didn't do that , what sized SHS and what material (steel / Aluminium) did you use. for the crossbar? * Also what was the hardware list for the upper kayak rails and the actual brackets you used. Cheers Guys.

I like the extra height but I don’t think it’s an upgrade we the consumer should be paying extra for. The bar rails should be made to that height as standard as without the spacers the rails are impeding proper use of the side bungees.
@Kayaks2fishNextGenYaks16 күн бұрын
Yeah it would ideal for the consumer... However as time progresses K2F continue to evolve with all of their kayaks and kayak accessories... As they come up with new ideas or improvements we get the opportunity to upgrade different elements of our kayak. To be honest I'm just grateful because this is the one and only kayak company in Australia that actually design and create kayaks for the Australian market kayak fishing angler. We don't have another Australian owned kayaking manufacturers.... This gives us the only opportunity to have really cool kayaks at a cost-effective price for the Australian market. If you were to compare apples with apples let's say with Hobie or native you would be paying double sometimes triple. To me it's a no-brainer because even if you've got to pay 50 bucks for small little tweaks extras that you can do we are well and truly ahead and lucky 🙏
