Hi there Lucy, I love creating catsuits! Sure, I would recommend the Husqvarna HClass E20. Many amateurs / beginners in sewing are using it and as far as I know from discussing our experience we all are pretty happy with it. Use the stitch for elastic fabrics, marked S1 or the zig zag stitch. The first is for tight sewing (so it doesn’t unpick in case of mistake 😬), the second is more amateur friendly but offers a slightly less tight seam. I would love to see the final garments! You can look for liquid flame retardant sellers around you if there is the possibility of encountering cowards who are so afraid of people loving each other that they'll burn a piece of fabric. I personally get mine from companies who supply theaters, but I know some hardware stores like home depot sell bottles too. Be careful to wear a respirator, gloves and goggles when applying! It's a lot less dangerous than it used to be, but it's never a bad idea to be extra careful with chemicals.
